Eng Kee Bak Kut Teh

The star here is the braised pork trotter. The braising sauce is rich and thick, so well cooked that it is melt in your mouth. Authentic and traditional - always bringing back that old home cooked style and taste. The owners are quite senior and first generation hawkers still hands on and keeping the taste authentic and consistent. Really enjoyable!

Long queue everytime, but one of the best pork trotter in AMK. Price has increased, but still pretty good as there are lots of meat, unlike some other shops that is just bones.

Came on a weekday afternoon and there was a queue, but luckily didn't have to wait long. Ordered the pig trotter ($8) with rice ($1). The trotter was tender and nicely fatty, with a portion that felt bigger than what you usually get at similar pig trotter stalls. Taste-wise, it's more soy sauce-heavy than vinegar-heavy, with hardly any sourness. It has that old-school, homemade kind of taste, like something your grandmother would cook, you can tell some care went into it. The only downside is that the broth is quite salty. The meat itself wasn't particularly salty, but the broth definitely was. Overall, I enjoyed it. Very comforting and hearty, but definitely the kind of dish where after eating it you're like, "Okay, maybe not too often" 😂

Discovered this spot by chance and noticed pig trotters on almost every table. One bite, and I was hooked. The trotter is large, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and ideal for two people. Paired with the rich, savory sauce over rice, it’s a total winner. Definitely a hidden gem worth visiting.

This Bah Kut Teh is an absolute gem that never disappoints! The standout dish here is undoubtedly their vinegar pork knuckle — the flavour is outstanding and unlike anything you'll find elsewhere. Their "mei cai" (salted vegetables) is another must-try; rich, savoury, and cooked to perfection. Even their Singapore-style bak kut teh, known for its peppery broth, is surprisingly well-balanced — not overpowering at all, making it enjoyable for those who usually shy away from strong pepper flavours. Every single table here seems to order the same three dishes, and for good reason — it feels almost like an unspoken rule. If you're visiting for the first time, just follow the crowd and order all three. You won't regret it! And most importantly is freaking affordable!

The black pig trotters so delicious and yummy . The black gravy is so flavourful, skin is clean and meat is so tender. The best I ever had.

There a queue when I was there during lunch hrs in a weekend. Rice is priced at S$1.00 for a normal bowl. Surprised of such price especially at a hawker centre setting. Ordered the pig trotters and personally I find the texture of the trotter meat is tough and the sauce the other reviewers raved about; taste burnt and slightly overpowering without any hint of fragrance of the garlic or any spices except of the burnt dark soya sauce taste as mentioned. The sauce needs to be taken with the rice otherwise there no point savouring the sauce on it own.
