My food option is currently being pushed to me by my YouTube watching parents. Here we are at Go-Ang because of a HK-Thai YouTube couple who does travel and dining. We decided to go simple and had their single portion chicken rice and a tom yum chicken noodle. I topped up for a roasted chicken to try the trinity here. Chicken and soup is good, the chili has kick and the rice is fragrant. You can top up for chicken thigh or switch to chicken breast or white rice for a healthier option. Looking around, we see a different way of enjoying the food here. They would order zichar style, a couple of dishes with plates of rice to clean up the food. This will be my battle strategy when we revisit with my brother. Reason for service: We were given an old QR code that the previous table occupant used, so it was invalid. I couldn't get hold of their attention for 5 minutes. Food was laid unceremoniously onto our table and my thai milk tea arrived last. Later than the noodles.

I had such a wonderful experience at the JEM outlet, and I would especially like to commend Emily for her exceptional service. ❤️ The food was delicious and enjoyable, but what truly touched me was the kindness and thoughtfulness shown by Emily. I’m currently going through cancer treatment, so dining out can sometimes be challenging. I had a few special requests, and Emily was incredibly understanding and went out of her way to help fulfil them. What meant even more to me was that she checked on me during the meal to make sure I was okay. It may seem like a small gesture, but during a difficult time like this, that little bit of care and concern really means a lot. 🥹❤️ Emily didn’t just provide good service — she showed genuine compassion and made me feel cared for and comfortable. Staff like her are truly an asset to the team. Thank you, Emily, for your kindness, patience and thoughtful service. And kudos to the JEM outlet for having such a wonderful staff member! The food was great, but Emily’s warmth and care made the whole experience truly memorable. Will definitely come back again.

The worst chicken rice experience I've had. I politely asked the staff if they could change the chicken because it was still too bloody. It was for both the kids and myself, so I didn't think it was an unreasonable request. Instead of handling it professionally, they brought back another plate that looked carelessly put together, with no sincerity at all. From what I observed, the person cutting the chicken seemed visibly upset and unwilling to cooperate. It felt unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome for simply raising a valid concern. To make matters worse, we specifically requested boneless chicken for the kids, but there were still bones in the meat. This is disappointing, especially when the order was made with children's safety in mind. Overall, the service was poor, the attitude was disappointing, and the food did not meet basic expectations. I hope the staff can improve their professionalism and pay closer attention to customers' requests in the future today is thursday, 16 July 2026 at 3pm! PS, IM NOT GOING TO THIS PLACE AGAIN! This Michelin-recommended Thai chicken rice restaurant was surprisingly quiet when we visited, but the food was unexpectedly delicious. The chicken rice was very fragrant, and the chicken was firm yet tender. I especially liked their dark sauce served with the chicken rice—it had a little chili in it but wasn’t spicy at all. The accompanying soup was light and refreshing, which made the meal even more appetising. It actually reminded me a little of Penang-style chicken rice. The prices are reasonable too. Regular chicken rice costs $5.50, while the chicken thigh version is $6.50. Considering the restaurant setting and environment, I think the pricing is fair. We also ordered the Tom Yum soup ($8.90), which came with 3 slices of fish, 2 prawns, mushrooms, and small squid. I found the flavour quite authentic. Since it’s a restaurant, service charge and GST apply as well.

We had the set meal for 2. Very disappointing experience. The Kai lan has burnt taste-like burnt wok. . The fish soup has bitter aftertaste. The omelette is super greasy. Chicken is not as claimed. It has bib gourmand logo. It serves like fast food. Mai aroi
