Another one of the long queues at this hawker centre, so I had to try. Curiosity satisfied, but expectation fell short. It's not bad, but no big deal at all. I can't say 友记 is far below it's level, and the latter is everywhere (without such queuing). The rice is the dark/ flavoured type, quite fragrant by itself. Gravy is a tad more sweet than savoury. Duck was average, not particularly tender/ moist despite being a drumstick. The braised egg is not braised through, the yolk is pure yellow, and the add on pork belly was dry and tough. Soup has a bit of herbal flavour, but not prominent. For me, this is not worth the travel/ queue for.

Finally found a Boneless Duck Stall worthwhile to return over and over again. Located at Ghim Moh Market and Food Centre. Ours per plate was a generous serving of duck meat with half egg, tau Pok and tofu … simply yummylicious! 👍🏻👌🏻🤙🏻👏🏻😘

I have wanted to try this stall for quite a while and finally went down to try on a Saturday evening. I reached at 5+pm and there were about 8 people in the queue. They were quite efficient though, as I got my order in less than 10 minutes. I got the $6 duck rice set and added a liver ($0.80). The rice and soup had slightly strong herbal tones. Duck was decent but I think they could have given more braising sauce. Chilli was not bad too, and added some umami to the dish. Comparing the food, I still prefer the one at West Coast Market, though I think this can go into my top 5 in SG.

A four-man team runs this popular braised duck stall in the quiet neighbourhood of Ghim Moh. Its long line of customers makes it recognisable when most other stalls have closed in the evening. Plump and moist ducks hang neatly behind the glass display, and are chopped and served over seasoned rice cooked in braise sauce. Every bead of rice is cooked consistently, fluffy and has a nice bite eaten with the meat. There are other carb options such as porridge and kway tiao, and a variety of add-ons like the head, wing, gizzard, and liver of duck, pork belly, tau pok, tau kwa, egg, and peanuts - all braised and infused with the soy-based herbal sauce that is not too sweet nor overpowering. Accompanied by a bowl of duck soup and two kinds of chili sauces, the meal takes on extra flavour and spice, and is a joy to eat.

Came here first time. Saw the long queue thought it must be good. Packed 5 pkts $5 instead of $4. When opened oh my, less than 10 thin strands of duck meat. I think they are Very Over priced. A disappointment after queuing for 30mins.

$4 for a duck rice set is really affordable. Nice soup. But duck meat, rice, gravy and chilli are just average.
