Caffe Zeppin

Second visit to this hidden gem and same as before, this cafe did not disappoint! Ordered the same western food that came with the freshest salad in town. The lady boss’s attention to detail is impeccable! Looking forward to my next visit!

Was shopping at Midview City with my SO when a sudden heavy thunderstorm hit 🌧️⚡️ Totally stuck inside the industrial building, we quickly Googled and found a café located in the same building — perfect excuse to slow down and wait for the rain to pass. Ordered a few items to pass the time: 🍵 Matcha Green Tea Frappé Ice-blended and refreshing, but a little too sweet for my liking. Could still taste the matcha, though the sweetness slightly overpowered it. ☕ Mocha Frappé This one was nice — very similar to the ice-blended mocha from big coffee chains, but priced slightly lower, which is always a plus. 🥟 Vietnamese Fried Spring Rolls (4-Piece Combo) Freshly fried and crispy! Two of them were prawn spring rolls, and they were really yummy. The café has a nice, cozy environment, great for sitting down, reading, and enjoying drinks while waiting out the rain. The food was fantastic, firstly the fries covered in mentaiko sauce was nicely crunchy, just to my taste. Secondly the salmon also covered in mentaiko was one of my favourites the salmon was perfectly soft with crunchy skin 10/10!! the squid rings were battered nicely and was a pretty big size compared to other stores. Unagi was also nice of course the fish was soft with a sweet savoury sauce making it another favourite of mine!! The spicy egg fried rice was nicely fried with the perfect amount of spicyness, the plate was cute and had a shallow base to ensure a bigger amount of rice served. The asparagus was cooked nicely to ensure no bitter taste lingered while eating it and it was generously garnished with sweetly fried onions. Next, the tempura kakiage the other batter is crunchy while the batter on the inside is soft and chewy even though it was one of my last dishes I ate after leaving out for awhile, it is sweet and savoury. I finished out with two drinks, lemon honey and ‘I See Dream (wheatgrass pandan 3C) T10’ that lemon honey was not too sweet not too sour just enough to wash my food down but I as a chugger decided to get another drink which was the ‘I See Dream’ it is a milk tea drink that was sweet and not too thick the cup was also cute it looked like a glass jar with a handle for the size its quite worth it. Lastly, the workers were cheerful and seemed friendly to their customers and coworkers in the store, working with smiles on their faces. The environment in the cafe was a nice quiet place, I would highly recommend if you wanted to find a cafe to study at or just wanted to cafe hop. (My bf loved it too)

Pretty good food for the whole family. A wide variety of Asian and western choices. We ordered basil rice with chicken cutlet, fried rice with pork chop, Udon. It was all pretty good. Service was good too, ambience was quiet. Price was reasonable.

I ordered four dishes, and overall, three of them were nice and delicious. However, the “DIVE DIVE MUST EAT” dish was disappointing — the fish was not very fresh and had a slight fishy smell. That dish failed for me. That said, the overall experience was still good, as the other three dishes were enjoyable and the customer service was excellent.

Excellent food and attentive service particularly from Jia Min. Very courteous and helpful, making the dining experience a pleasant one. Will return!

I am writing a review on the 2nd visit. I enjoy the cozy atmosphere and service feels attentive and caring. The food is very varied but I get a Taiwanese cafe style vibe from it. Food-wise, although they may not hit the mark of Japanese and Western food authenticity, their fusion style is delicious enough to be good on their own. I recommend their ramen and dry ramen.

Tried this cafe as the weather was hot. Food was surprisingly good. We had pork belly dry udon and seafood ramen soup best is that their menu stated nett prices 👍👍and they have a large menu of food with reasonable prices. They also offer bubble tea. However I tried a three layer tea (I see dream) but it was not as per presentation. See photo. 😢 Still, I will come by again 😊
