Vietnom Local Eatery was one of the most memorable dining experiences I had in Da Nang. The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic Vietnamese flavors, fresh ingredients, and beautiful presentation. Every dish we ordered was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and relaxed. What makes this restaurant truly special is its deaf staff. As someone who has experience interacting with deaf people, I appreciated how thoughtfully the restaurant is set up to make communication easy and comfortable. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. A smile, eye contact, simple gestures, and a little patience go a long way, and the experience felt completely natural and enjoyable. I was impressed by how confidently and efficiently the team worked together. Rather than feeling like a novelty, it felt like exactly what it should be—a great restaurant with talented people providing excellent service. It was also a wonderful reminder that communication comes in many forms and that kindness and respect are universal. Combined with the outstanding food and welcoming atmosphere, Vietnom Local Eatery is a place I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Da Nang. It offers not only a fantastic meal but also a meaningful and positive experience that stays with you long after you leave.

This was a brilliant experience for us! We visited for lunch and had a great time, this restaurant really shows what amazing work everyone is capable of. The communication between their hearing and deaf employees was wonderful and inspiring for everyone. We had some really delicious food and drinks with a good variety of both available. The service was incredible and we hardly realised that there was no music playing in the restaurant. They were able to cater to many different group sizes. Great experience!

It was a lovely restaurant with a charming atmosphere. I especially liked that they also sold small items like artwork and postcards, which added a unique touch to the place. The interior was beautifully decorated, although it was unfortunately a bit noisy. The service was very friendly, and the food tasted great overall. However, there was an issue with my vegan bowl—it unfortunately contained salmon, which is not vegan, as it is a type of fish. Because of this, I had to remove it instead of fully enjoying the dish as intended. Aside from that, the food was very delicious, and I truly enjoyed my time there.

Another great place in Da Nang, but with a very specific character. Deaf and mute staff work here — and we only realized it after a few minutes. First, from the way they communicate with each other. Second, from the name itself, although it’s not immediately obvious. This creates a very distinct, specific vibe, which I really like. You can feel that people united by their own way of communication are gathered here. It’s obvious how close they are, how much they enjoy interacting with each other. And at the same time, this is their work. That’s very cool. The food is good. We tried only one dish, but it’s safe to say this is a place you can come back to. It’s also comfortable to work here, which is confirmed by the fact that even on weekends there are laptops around — remote workers sitting and working here.

Vietnom Local Eatery quickly became one of our absolute favorites — during our 10-day stay we ended up eating there at least six times, and every visit was just as good as the last. The food is fantastic, fresh, and full of flavor, but it’s the service that really makes this place special. The staff are truly wonderful. We even organized a birthday there, and they were incredibly helpful, warm, and genuinely excited to make the evening memorable. It felt like celebrating with friends. I also highly recommend supporting them by purchasing one of their paintings — they’re beautiful and made with heart, just like everything else in this place. A must-visit spot with amazing food and even more amazing people!

Absolutely incredible spot. Vietnom is one of those places you walk into and instantly feel like you’ve found something special. It’s calm, welcoming, beautifully designed, and what makes it even more meaningful is that most of the staff are deaf. The whole experience feels intentional — the service, the pace, the warmth and the “Quiet Place” theme actually gives it this peaceful, grounded vibe that’s rare in Da Nang. I ordered the fresh rolls and they were unreal, packed, flavourful, super fresh, and honestly some of the best I’ve had in Vietnam. The sauces were next level. I also tried one of their herbal teas and it came out looking like artwork in a glass.
