Hoang’s Kitchen Đà Nẵng- Vietnamese & Vegan Food

I was really looking forward to saying my god the food was so much better than it looked. But it wasnt. If anything it was worse. Honestly look at them pics. The food is absolutely dead. Deceased 💀 Not sure if they've changed their oil this decade but by the looks of them spring rolls some fresh oil is a couple of years over due. The chicken fried rice was recommended by the waitress. Then it came absolutely full of cucumber and my head fell off. These must have a locals menu and a mugs menu because theres no way on earth the locals are paying £3 for the worst fresh spring rolls you've ever seen Overall they're lucky im even giving it a 2 star tbh. This is up there in my top 3 worst restaurants in 7 weeks so far traveling Asia. Garbage. So ridiculously expensive the prices really cant be real. They've seen me coming and stitched me right up.

My best friend and I had a wonderful experience here. As we eat primarily vegetarian food, we were pleased to see there were many options for us and the portion sizes are great. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff are very friendly and observant. In particular, our server Harry was very sweet and helpful.

Excellent restaurant. We had the signature Vietnamese pho go soup and really enjoyed Vivi's service. The soup was excellent, the portions were large, there was plenty of meat, and the prices were reasonable. It was delicious and inexpensive. I recommend it to everyone. The inside is very nice.

I come to Da Nang once a year and feel like quality of food is getting worse every time I visit. Most of the places have high ratings since most of the tourists are not familiar with how the food should be. This week I paid 400K-500K in much fancier places and they were all average at best. Today I went to Hoang’s and was positively surprised! The quality is still as good, food in Hoang’s is still very delicious, portions are still big and prices are still affordable. Staff is also very kind. Just give it a try, you will leave with a happy tummy🙂😋 Edit: Went there the second time. Again, very good experience!!! Updating with the second meal of 2 more dishes.

The food was really delicious, and there was talk of the staff making the banh xeo fresh; Harry, in particular, made it with great care and was truly tasty. It was a taste and service that I will definitely think of whenever I think of Vietnam.

Suni was incredibly welcoming and provided excellent service. She speaks Mandarin, and who knows the blissful feeling of hearing Chinese abroad? 😭 The pancake is my favorite dish here, and I'd love to eat it every day.

I found it somewhat difficult to decide between three or four points here, but the reasoning becomes clear when looking at the details. The mango salad was genuinely good, offering freshness and balance, and my wife’s tofu with eggplant was equally convincing in both flavor and execution. My chicken dish, however, lacked a more pronounced lemongrass note and settled into a slightly average register. It was the kind of dish one could just as easily encounter in Europe, without a distinct sense of place or character. The pricing stands somewhat apart from the surrounding options, leaning higher, which is reflected in the atmosphere as well. There were noticeably fewer locals, and the setting feels more tailored toward a tourist audience with a slightly polished tone. The staff speaks good English, and service is smooth, but comparable quality can likely be found nearby at a lower cost. In summary, this is a competent and comfortable restaurant with some strong dishes, but not one that stands out enough to compel a return. Still, for those who prefer a more relaxed, less street focused dining experience, it remains a reasonable option.

Had a delicious dinner that was really good value for money, had plenty left over to take away for another meal. Loads of local healthy options including really good vegetarian and vegan options. Service was excellent, they were very attentive and helpful. I’ll definitely be returning during my stay in Da Nang!
