**Environment:** The name is quite interesting; Nylon = New York + London, commemorating the founders' exposure to coffee culture in both cities. The shop is tucked away on the ground floor of a HDB block in Everton Park, Singapore. The storefront is simple and understated, blending seamlessly into the community without any flashy signs. There are long benches, vending machines, and plenty of greenery at the entrance, creating a quiet yet distinctive atmosphere.
**Taste:** I tried three coffees this time. The first was a hand-drip coffee, a Colombian Juan Martin, with flavors of Red Striped Bourbon/Washed Berry, Red Plum, Nectarine, and Orange Tea, priced at SGD 7.5. The acidity was quite balanced. I didn't add ice; the hot flavor was great, which I liked. The second was a White, in a Medium (5oz) cup, priced at SGD 5.3. The first cup was velvety smooth, with no thick foam or layering – just perfect. The coffee was rich but not overpowering, the milk sweet but not cloying, and the aftertaste lingered! A truly excellent milk-based coffee. The third was a Long Black, made with Nicaragua Finca Libre
Red Catuai / Washed beans, a flavor profile of Red Grape, Dried Apricot, Golden Raisin, and Milk Chocolate. Clean and balanced, with prominent red fruit sweetness and a silky finish, it's a perfect Central American bean for a Long Black. The Long Black is made by first adding water and then double espresso, preserving the crema well. It was served hot, with rich layers and a refreshing sweetness – highly recommended.
Service: Excellent service. The three staff members each performed their duties effectively. Everyone was friendly, and the barista was chatty and enjoyable. The lady making the pour-over coffee was very skilled and had a great work ethic. The latte art artist treated each cup with care, demonstrating the dedication of two people. Communication was seamless in both Chinese and English, and payment options included Visa and WeChat.
Value for money: Normal coffee prices, not expensive. It's a community coffee shop that focuses on making coffee honestly. There are no specialty drinks or tea snacks, just coffee beans, hand-drip coffee, black coffee, milk coffee, and related products.
