LINKUS 临家 SINGAPORE

Tonight was my first time at LINKUS, and overall, it was a surprisingly delightful Hokkien meal. The ginger duck and braised pork with radish rice were two dishes I'd definitely order again. The ginger duck was fragrant and flavorful, while the braised pork with radish rice had a simple, comforting home-style taste that was incredibly satisfying. The Sichuan peppercorn braised fish was also quite unique; the aroma and slight numbing sensation of the Sichuan peppercorns were very prominent, but the natural freshness of the fish was still evident. Then came the dessert—this part was a bit of a surprise. 😋 Mango pomelo sago? It's actually quite ordinary. But the presentation made me want to take another look and take another picture. 😂 Sometimes that's how it is with food; the taste is one thing, but the presentation can also pique your interest first. Every dish on the menu had its own unique characteristics. Several items also made me think: "Don't buy it because of the price!" 😂 I figured... I'll save those for a special occasion. The overall atmosphere was great, and the dishes were perfect for sharing. Next time I come, I'll definitely try other new dishes. However, there are two I'm already certain I'll return for: 🥘 Ginger Duck 🍚 Braised Pork Belly with Radish Rice As for the dishes I "want to try but can't bear to right now," I'll save them for next time. 😉

First time trying out as we heard quite a few good words. The dish is a hit or missed. We ordered 10 dish, 5 of them are really good another 5 is so so. Don’t really remember the name of all the dishes. The good one are the duck, squid, soup, fried oysters and the crab. The clay pot rice is a disappointment. The rest are average. Service are all good as we had the private room which had a waiter serving full time or may be shared with another room.

Enjoyed a meal here. A regular customer ordered the must-haves: the yellow croaker fish baked atop ginger slices & Sichuan peppers ($55), & ginger duck ($29.90 for the smaller portion). Both were unique & refined. A new dish we sampled and liked was the crispy oyster & seaweed pancake. Crispy on the outside, savoury flavours of the sea within. For carbs, we picked their signature pork radish rice, simple yet interesting.

Very authentic Minnan cuisine! The rolled small intestines were amazing—very chewy and firm. The ginger duck had a slightly charred flavor; the skin was crispy, the meat was incredibly tender and juicy, and the ginger flavor was perfectly balanced. The beef balls in the beef soup had a strong Chaoshan flavor, and the beef chunks were quite large. It had a slightly herbal beef soup taste. The yellow croaker was very tender and fresh. The squid was also delicious. The daylily was super fresh. The bird's nest and taro paste was savory and stir-fried with lard. It wasn't too greasy, although it was a bit too sweet. The waiters, on the other hand, kept a straight face the whole time. The dining environment was very nice.

This was a very disappointing and concerning dining experience. We found a sharp piece of plastic in one of the dishes that was served to our table. This wasn’t just a small piece of packaging—it had a pointed edge that could easily have caused serious injury if swallowed. What made the situation even more alarming was that we were dining with three young children. Had one of them eaten it before we noticed, the consequences could have been severe. Food safety should be a restaurant’s top priority. Finding a dangerous foreign object in a dish is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the kitchen’s quality control and food preparation processes. I hope the restaurant takes this incident seriously, investigates how it happened, and puts stricter measures in place to ensure it never happens again. No family should have to worry about their safety while enjoying a meal.

The food is overpriced for the portion sizes. While the dishes were presented on very large plates, the actual servings were surprisingly small and not satisfying. The staff also kept asking us to clear our plates so they could serve the next dish, which made the dining experience feel rushed and not enjoyable. We waited about 20-30minutes for our final dish, but it never arrived. Although the staff informed us that the cancelled dish would be removed from our bill, we later realised we had still been charged for it. This was very disappointing and left a poor impression of the restaurant’s service. At the beginning of the meal, we were served a gongtang dessert with a delicious sesame flavour. We enjoyed it so much that we bought some to bring home for our family. However, when we opened the package, we discovered it was peanut flavour instead. The staff never informed us that there were different flavours available, and the packaging didn’t indicate the flavour either. It was misleading and disappointing.

A pleasant restaurant offering authentic Fujian cuisine in a comfortable and modern setting. The restaurant is spacious, well maintained, and suitable for family gatherings, business meals, or casual dining with friends. The menu features a wide selection of Fujian specialities, with dishes that showcase fresh ingredients and traditional flavours. The food is generally well prepared, with balanced seasoning that allows the natural flavours to stand out. Service was attentive and efficient, and the staff were friendly throughout the meal. The dining environment was clean and comfortable, making for a relaxing experience. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but the quality of the food, service, and ambience make it a worthwhile choice for those looking to enjoy authentic Fujian cuisine in Singapore. Overall, LINKUS 临家 is a good option for a satisfying meal, and a place worth considering if you’re craving traditional Fujian dishes.
