Came across this Penang restaurant as I was nearby. Went to dabao their Char Kwey Tiao as I miss authentic Penang food, and I was not disappointed. Tastes very much like the Penang version, nice wok hey and good amount of ingredients.

Very rude staff. Please fire her with immediate effect. Your restaurant’s reputation is on the line. your comment is inaccurate. i suggest you do a internal review. first of all, upon entering the restaurant, your staff brushed me away state order is not ready. however, the order number was not confirmed at the point of time yet how could she know its not ready? second, when check how long more would it take, her reply was i dont know, i nicely asked her to check as if its 10 to 15 mins i will head over to crown center to collect the other order first. she was rude at this point, fine i went away to collect. coming back, i showed her, that the order x1 was ready yet it was no where found and i told her we would be penalised. she then accused us and raised her voice, sorry to say, but a chair at the payment counter is restricted? you must be out of your mind, bare in mind, she said its YOUR seat. please, if its YOUR seat, place it else where not at the payment counter accessable to outsiders. the order was mixed up by another rider and she scolded the other rider, its his mistake but ofcourse not scold him as such, the rider was innocent. hoenstly, the wait time i dont mind, i dont state your dishes are untasty or question why it took long to cook, but i am just asking the following, how long would it take estimately and for her to watch her attitude. we dont owe her a living. shes a work permit holder i supposed as she said it herself, come to singapore, behave like one. not inher country. absuetely disrespectful. sure, she might have a bad day, but it should be lay on us. and please, your other reviews do state alot about the service rendered here. it shows alot. honestly, i am not bothered on this. its her attitude that stinks and i feel you should be aware. we can discuss this matter further offline, please reach out with your contact or email address.

This small, family-style restaurant offers delicious and authentic food. I highly recommend Kueh Pai Tee; you absolutely must try it!

my honest review based on my experience. Service : 1. U need to walk-in to the counter to place order and they expect you to pay immediately after ordering. It's kind of weird for a restaurant type setup. 2. Unhappy expression while giving the food. I wonder why the service person keeps the face angry...lol 3. Food comes to your table less than 5 mins ( so no waiting time ). Food taste : 1. Honestly nothing special or extraordinary 2. char kway Teow - 4/5 Prawn noodle soup - 1/5 Loh bak - 2/5 Ambiance: 1. Decent place with Aircon - 4/5 Price : Very expensive 🫰

No parking on site. Small eatery with limited seats. Find a table and order at the counter. No pay wave payment. Char mee was tasty but a tad expensive at sgd$11. Rojak was average and the nutmeg juicy was just sweet with a tinge of nutmeg flavour. Might return if in the area to try other dishes.

Great for people on Keto or Low-carb, but it is pricey. The Penang char kway teow with konjac noodles was $13 if irc. It was tasty and had wok hei. You can also swop the rice dishes with konjac rice.
