Giraffa. You’ve done it. This is a really good stall although it is small it offers charging for both USBC and Lightning cables, has a place to but your bags, Also has a trash bin and has tissues. The staff are really gentle and kind with their service. The Japanese cheese curry I ordered chicken is really nice especially the cheese pull, the cheese and the Japanese curry are evenly mixed. It takes just 5 minutes if there’s no one to prepare your meal (take note they fry the meal on the spot). They offer various methods to pay and personally i have no problems with the food. There are multiple meat choices (chicken, beef, pork) it’s just that the amount of choices you have for the meals are not a lot (there’s only the Japanese curry cheese bun and a drink) but I do understand that this is just a quick eatery.(one Japanese curry cheese bun is $4.90)Giraffa, your food is truly amazing. Guys Im totally allergic to curry.

I really loved these fried moreish curry buns. They're freshly fried upon order so they're crispy and dont feel oily/gelat at all. You need to wait a few minutes for them to be ready. I love the melty cheese filling inside. The curry isnt very spicy, suitable for folks with low spice tolerance. Service is great. Was greeted by a very pleasant and helpful young man who wears specs. There is a small area with 2 chairs if you want to have a quick bite there.

I've been curious about the viral Giraffa curry buns for a while and finally picked up a box of four from their Westgate branch. While they are best enjoyed fresh and hot at the stall, I brought them home and was pleased to see they provide clear reheating instructions. ​I followed the steps (microwave to warm, then toaster oven to crisp) and the result was perfect! The bun was wonderfully crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the filling was heated through beautifully. The rich, savoury Japanese curry and the gooey, melted mozzarella cheese were an absolutely delicious combination—that signature cheese pull is no joke! ​What makes this an easy 5-star recommendation now is the price. When they first opened, $5.60 per bun was a hard sell. But at the current price of $3.70 (and even less if you use GrabPay, working out to around $3.15 each), it's fantastic value for such a high-quality, satisfying, and unique snack. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend grabbing a box (or two)!

I visited Giraffa at Westgate and decided to try their Cheese Curry Pan — and it was absolutely worth it. The staff cook it fresh upon order, so it comes to your table piping hot with that irresistible aroma of toasted bread and fragrant curry. The bread is perfectly fluffy on the inside with a golden, crispy crust that gives a satisfying crunch. Once you tear into it, the rich and creamy Japanese-style curry, infused with melted cheese, oozes out like pure comfort food heaven. The curry itself has just the right balance of mild spice and sweetness, and the cheese adds a smooth, savoury depth that makes every bite indulgent without being overwhelming. I appreciate that Giraffa takes the time to prepare each pan fresh — you can taste the difference compared to pre-made versions elsewhere. The portion is generous enough to be a light meal or a satisfying snack to share. Service was friendly and efficient, and the open kitchen gives you a peek at the bread being baked, which adds to the experience. If you love curry, cheese, and fresh bread, this is a must-try item when you’re at Westgate. I’ll definitely be coming back for more.

Improvement! After reading so many poor reviews, I am glad that the owner took the hint and made changes. My experience was quite positive and it began with a young man standing outside the eateries and promoting the bread. He was friendly and he should have approached more customers, especially during lunchtime. I have never been to this place but I happened to walk past the shop. Indeed the location is great but also easily missed as there is another bakery nearby. What is there not to like? Bread filled with cheese, Japanese curry with pork and beef, what an interesting concoction. The first bite was amazing, crispy on breaded bread on the outside, and cheese oozing out of the bread with aromatic Japanese curry. The price is ＄3.60 and is probably reduced due to many complaints. For that bread and quality, the price is acceptable and if any price increment, then it is only a few steps to the next bakery. I definitely would patronise Giraffa. Date: 1st August 2025 I came back to patronise their bread... I gave a star for the service I received as I was dining in. But sadly, remove a star from the food. Definitely, the filling is not as cheesy as I had the first time. I hope the management can take note of consistency as I like this place very much. I gave an extra star for the atmosphere as I can charge my phone, enjoy my meal and read.

But service wise, staff is friendly and helpful when you are ordering. Takes about 5 mins to make before getting your order. Will enjoy it more if there’s more cheese and curry filling.

Melted cheese enhances the flavour and gives a satisfying cheese pull. While the bun's crispy texture is carefully crafted, the filling feels a bit light, likely for balance. Originally priced at $5.60, it now costs $3.60, making it a reasonable pick if you’re nearby but not necessarily worth a special trip. For drinks, the Ya Shi Xiang Lemon Tea ($2.20) is sweet, zesty, and refreshing. However, the individual eating paper bag has a stale oil smell, best avoided for a better experience.
