Heard about this famous prata shop and finally got to try it. It was fluffy inside and crispy outside. Curry was a mild spicy and slight sour (fish curry) and just the right balance to complement the prata. The prata was indeed different from others and a notch above. Service was orderly with the old lady taking order with a number system. Curry can be refilled by just going to her at the side where the pot is. Only downside is the coffee at this coffee shop is a tad expensive at $1.70 for a kopi kosong!

My first Roti Prata in super many many many years. Friends who really know me, I am anti Prata. Having been in Joo Chiat for 4 years, I've decided to try what Mr & Mrs Mohgan Super Crispy Roti Prata is all about. A good 70 to 80 percent of the patrons in this coffeeshop are seen eating the Prata. The Pratas on their table looked very different from other. A very uniformed deep brown, blistered surface, unlike most that has random spots of char. Fluffy looking and just aesthetically attractive. So, I'll need to break my zero Prata diet and try it. Ordered 3 x Kosong Bawang, with some Mutton and Fish gravy. Order took less than 5 minutes. Their speed? Lightning. Really fluffy and crispy. I like. The only negative thing was that I struggled at piece number 2. I guess my quota for eating Prata is up. No more for the next 10 years or more. At least I did try one of the best Pratas ever. Damage was S$6.00

I could give it a 10 if there is... No place can ever out do here. Fluffy, crispy, full of filling and not pricey.. thier sambal is a bomb.. it seems diluted but once in your mouth, the taste linger for a long time making you craving for it. Curry was mild spicy yet tasty. All prata were served hot. IMHO, Jalen K crispy prata totally no fight . You definitely have to come and try before you die. We had a total of 10 different variety of prata for 2pax.. and im still can't get enough of it . We had coin x1(6nos),plain x2, crispy x3, cheese x1, banana x1, onion eggx1, plaster x1. Aunty Mohan is a nice and friendly lady. She had even offered is to try their different types of curry. Definitely worth our trip down from Woodland to eat these. We spent $25.40 for all these which is super value for money Highly recommended

A classic that has maintained the high bar for prata over decades and continues to be the best prata I have ever eaten. Prata is crispy while not feeling overly greasy, but what makes it really stand out is the crispy texture of the non plain pratas. Mrs Moghan is a cheery presence as she takes your order and shouts out completed order numbers (don't forget yours). The wait time was 15 mins when we arrived at 7.30am but had grown to 45 mins by the time we left at 8.30am. Come early at 7am or late to beat the crowds. Cash and PayNow. Fish and lamb curry both excellent. Had plain, onion and plaster - all excellent, crispy and made to order. Paid $7 for 2 plain, 1 onion, 1 plaster. Seating is ample.

This crispy prata wakes me up better than any alarm. If "crispy" was a religion, then the folks at Mr and Mrs Mohgan are the high priests. The pratas here are so crispy you'd think they mixed poprocks inside the dough. And they're one of the few places left where they offer sambal with the prata. My tip? Get kosong, dip it in the curry and smear some sambal over it. It'll be a party in your mouth, and everyone's having a great time. Just pray they don't run out of fish curry or sambal! I’ve posted more photos and some tips on visiting this stall on my Instagram @iamgettingfat. Do check it out :)

If you are looking for a super KRISPY prata, this is for you. Situated in a kopitiam, be prepared for no AC and a grumpy Mrs Mohgan (I think?). The prata is affordable and outstanding. Paynow accepted. You order, pay, get given a number, she beeps it, you collect. P.s. if you wanted to order drinks at this kopitiam, they do not take Paynow!

Fluffy, chewy, great texture, pulls apart easily, decent portion, curry is mildly spicy only, not too jelat. Sgd8.7 for 2 double egg prata, 1 egg prata, and 1 kosong prata. Insane value for money. Downside is the super long wait - took an hour till our turn. Very breezy seating area, only gripe is the road is very nearby and gets noisy especially when cars honk. Drinks stall drinks cannot make it, just skip. Can park at landed estates nearby if no parking at public carpark right next to it. Will definitely be back despite the long wait because the prata is really tasty.

Had this pinned forever, and finally made it today. $3 for 2 kosong/ plain prata, the wait was 10-12 minutes on a Saturday late morning (~11am). PayNow via mobile #, got to remember your order # and pick up when #displayed or called. The prata looks 'fried', the shape is rounder, smaller but a tad thicker than usual. Also, they were not pressed/ compressed before servicing to create fluffy texture. So, the pratas are indeed crispy as the stall name suggests, texture is slightly harder/ tougher but it doesn't compromise the fluffiness. But taste wise, it was a tad 'bitter' together with the curry, not sure if it was 'burnt' or it's just me. I can't say I'm a fan of this rendition of prata in Singapore (same as those 'coin prata' types). Checked. But won't be back.
