Lâuphai happened to appear on my Facebook page, and a few days later, I had the opportunity to go to Da Nang and had lunch there with my dad. I felt very happy because: 1. The restaurant was clean and tidy. 2. The food came out quickly, no long wait. 3. The tea served with the meal was fragrant and refreshing. 4. The staff were observant, attentive, and friendly! 5. There was one staff member, I'm not sure if she was the manager, but I saw her observing customers and being very friendly. She gave me two small bowls of mung bean dessert and a packet of sesame candy. 6. There were many dishes for customers to choose from, and the flavors were just right. 7. I felt very happy because I was able to treat my dad to a meal at Lâuphai. My dad likes seafood; he praised the crispy squid, the sweet shrimp, and was impressed by the sour fish soup. It was light and flavorful. Just eating rice with soup is delicious. (I have a small suggestion: should we cover the clay pot to prevent the rice from hardening on the surface?) 8. A very satisfying experience at the Hue-style rice restaurant I visited 🥰 The food was authentically Hue-style, seasoned perfectly, flavorful but not overly salty. The dishes were prepared meticulously, looked appealing, and tasted delicious when eaten hot. I especially liked how the restaurant preserved the traditional flavors; it felt so familiar, like home-cooked meals. The space was clean and comfortable, and the staff were lovely and efficient. The prices were also reasonable considering the quality of the food. If I have the chance, I will definitely come back to try more Hue dishes. ❤️

We went with my wife, myself, and our child. Overall, the food was palatable, but the service was a bit slow when we requested additional items; we had to call several times. I can't imagine how it would be during peak tourist season. There were also a lot of staff standing around doing nothing. I ordered a broken rice combo for two people with three signature dipping sauces, boiled pork, braised fish in a clay pot, mixed vegetable soup, and a dessert. Overall, the food was pretty good, not outstanding as it's just a common dish, but the service was quick. The restaurant was quite crowded. Next time I'll try other dishes to give a clearer opinion.

In short, the rice was delicious. All the dishes were equally delicious, so there's not much more to say. The prices were very reasonable compared to the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the service. The restaurant even gave us complimentary pickled cucumbers, stir-fried shrimp paste with meat, lotus seed sweet soup, red bean sweet soup, and sesame candy. So lovely! The staff were friendly, and the space was clean and beautiful. You should try it at least once when you come to Da Nang.

We used this restaurant for a company anniversary lunch. The air-conditioned room on the second floor had a wall covered with nostalgic sewing machines. I heard it was a local Hue cuisine restaurant, and despite the stylish exterior, the food had a very home-style simplicity, and everything was incredibly delicious. The fried fish was visually appealing and tasted great; it was a treat for both the eyes and the palate.

It's truly unforgettable. The braised pork in coconut milk was hot on the outside and cold on the inside. The meat had been sitting there for a long time. The braised fish had a slightly burning sensation in the throat. The meal, with over 700g of fish, was a complete waste of food. Only the imported cakes were somewhat tasty. In short, it's so unforgettable I won't come back a second time.
