Visited a neighbourhood mall and found it to be a very convenient and family-friendly spot. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, making it easy to find something for any craving. The central double-volume space often hosts events, and during my visit, there was a school fair for kids which added a lively atmosphere. There are also dessert shops around for a sweet treat after meals. The mall includes a playground, making it great for families, and it’s well-connected with a nearby bus station. On the second floor, there’s a large cluster of eateries along with tuition centres, making it a practical place for both dining and daily needs.

Huge open spaces that are ideal for community event, does it work in 33 degs singapore weather? Hawker centre on the second floor, with shops on Level 1 along open air corridors. Most cafes and restaurants, and all shops has their glass doors closed… blasting aircon to cool from the heat. The few cafes which left their doors opened, houseflies swarm in. Pleasant mall to visit in the evening and night as temp cools. Wide spaces for kids to run around.

We recently took a trip to Sengkang Grand Mall with my wife and our little one, and it turned out to be a pretty convenient spot for a family outing. It's right above the Buangkok MRT, which made getting there a breeze. The mall has a nice open feel, and what immediately caught our child's eye was the playground on the first level – a great way for them to burn off some energy while we took a breather. It’s not overly fancy, but it serves its purpose well for families. We managed to pick up some groceries at FairPrice Finest, which was well-stocked and saved us a separate trip. For lunch, we explored the Buangkok Hawker Centre on the second floor; the variety there was impressive, and we found something for everyone, from local delights to more familiar options. It’s a practical and functional mall that covers most of our family’s needs without feeling too overwhelming or crowded, making for a relaxed afternoon out.

Notoriously difficult to find anything here. Have to walk around 10 times to locate a particular shop or stall. I have visited this mall a number of times and always have a tough time finding what I am looking for.

The iced matcha latte is unquestionable taste in authenticity. The pistachio cheesecake has a perfect balance of the pistachio taste and cheese, I thought it was too firm compared to our used to cheesecake but let it melt in your mouth to appreciate it better.

Limited food and shopping choices for a so called “grand” mall. There’s a hawker centre as part of the mall. There’s not a lot of dining establishment as it’s a rather small mall. There’s a couple of crappy China restaurants like Qin Ji, Xiang Xiang and Shiok Burger I would rather not see.

Inside the Sengkang Grand Mall premises there is the Buangkok Hawker Centre which has more than 50 food stalls but sadly only 4 stalls provide halal food. Many more food outlets and halal restaurants in the mall with a cozy environment, about 300m walking distance from the Al-Mawaddah Mosque.
