Reply 1988 Cafe

On May 9th, before heading to the airport, I stopped by the cafe and ordered four drinks. The day before, I had walked past the cafe and found it very pretty and impressive, so on my last day in Da Nang, I wanted to try it out. The staff were excellent, 100 points! They saw me pulling my suitcase and helped carry it. I asked them to add more sugar to my matcha latte, and they were very attentive, adding sugar and waiting for me to taste it before returning to the counter. The cafe's atmosphere was very relaxing. Later, I ordered two more pastries, both quite delicious to my liking. The red velvet was just right, not too sweet, and the cream cheese wasn't too sour. The croissant was also very good. Thank you, dear cafe, for giving me such a wonderful memory before leaving Da Nang! 🫶🏻

I stopped by here before dinner because I was very thirsty. I ordered a butterfly pea lychee drink, and it quenched my thirst. It's a large cafe with upstairs seating. I sat downstairs, and it had a Korean cafe vibe to it. Outside seating is available too! I came alone. I was extremely thirsty before dinner, so I took a break here. From the outside, it looks like a luxurious house. Inside, it's a Korean-style cafe. I ordered a butterfly pea lychee drink. I gulped it down. The lychee flavor was strong. Water is self-service! The staff speak English. There were two restrooms.

The cafe is very beautiful, cute, and Korean-style. However, there's one drawback: it's a bit noisy and there are quite a lot of children. So if you plan to study here, you might want to go to the second floor, although there aren't many there. We went with four people and ordered drinks, and compared to the average price in Da Nang, the drinks were quite reasonable. Therefore, we were quite satisfied. The drinks were also of good quality, the space is pretty, and the decor changes once a month, so you won't feel like you're going to the same place again and again. The prices are very reasonable and affordable, ranging from 39,000 to 55,000 VND, and the cakes are quite delicious. The space is cool and spacious, except for one thing: because the cafe is so beautiful, it gets quite crowded, so you should consider your needs when you go.

Like many negative reviews posted, the customer service is poor which is surprising given that must people I come across in Danang are very nice and sincere. Had asked if the coffee is served hot/cold, she only said yes. Since the answer doesn't make sense, we asked again. Then irritably she said cold. The answer was not correct as we found later that some were also served hot. No information was forthcoming from her, we were made to feel stupid to ask her question. Contrary to that other reviews described about Vietnamese nostalgic vibes, this café is inspired by the Korean drama Reply 1988 about growing up in the 80s in Korea. Guess it is suits the area since there're many restaurants and massage parlours serving Korean tourists . Food and drinks are good.

The drink here was very good and cheap! Oat milk + real boba (black pearl or bubble) available. Cashiers speak good English, no misunderstanding about milk of choice for vegan and lactose intolerant people (‼️Because one thing you need to be very careful in VN is whenever you order without cow milk or dairy products, you must tell them clearly you do not want anything from dairy e.g. Condensed milk, foam or salted cream. Which can be added by mistake.) This place is popular so it’s quite loud here otherwise this place is amazing.

The cafe has a warm, Korean-style atmosphere with many beautiful photo spots, perfect for chilling out or taking content photos. The drinks taste great, especially the rich and creamy chocolate with plenty of whipped cream. The Matcha Latte is fragrant, refreshing, and not too sweet. The Chocolate Tart is delicious, with a dense and rich filling and a perfectly crispy base. Overall, I was impressed with both the atmosphere and the taste. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I order 1 coffee and 1 matcha latte. Everything is gooood! And cheapppppp. This cafe is so lovely. Many spots to take photos.

The cafe is conveniently located in the city center and the prices are reasonable. The food and drinks are delicious. The menu is very diverse, with a wide variety of beverages. There's a huge selection of cakes on the menu, they look delicious and appealing, and they're also inexpensive. The cafe has its own parking lot, and the security guard is very enthusiastic and friendly, so you don't have to worry about your car being stolen. The space is super spacious, and the industrial air conditioning keeps you freezing. The cafe changes its decor constantly according to the seasons, which is amazing. Anyone who loves taking concept photos will find many beautiful spots here. The music is at a comfortable volume, not as noisy as many other places. The lighting is soft and pleasant, and the view is quite open. The cafe has outdoor seating in front, which is super chill. This cafe is excellent.
