This stall is run the third brother of the Lee family. That is also the name of the stall, with the owner’s image on the signboard as well. 😃 The stall is run by the owner, his wife and son-in-law. Awarded Michelin Bib Gourmand 2025 award, which hangs just below the signboard, next to the price list. The steamed rice cakes (kueh) are all hand made at the stall. It’s firmer compared to other stalls. The kueh are then topped with preserved radish that’s bubbling away on a small charcoal stove at the corner of the stall. The aunty will ask if you want chili before passing your order to you. If you are looking for a nostalgic old school taste, you can come here and experience it. Try it! 😋👍🏼👍🏼

During a breakfast trip to Ghim Moh Market and Hawker Centre, I came across a heritage stall with a truly impressive legacy. The current owner, Madam Tay, has been working here since she was just eight years old. Now in its 67th year of operation, this family business is poised to transition to its third generation, as Madam Tay’s son prepares to take over the reins. As for the food, the chwee kueh (rice cake) was cooked to perfection—boasting an ideal balance of subtle sweetness, excellent texture, and a satisfyingly firm bite. While the braised dried turnip (chai poh) was a bit tough for my liking, the overall experience was highly commendable and offered great value. Kudos to the team for keeping the tradition alive!

First time trying Ghim Moh Chwee Kueh — really impressed! 😍 For me, the real star here is their rice cake — super soft, smooth, and with a nice bouncy texture. You can really taste the quality and old-school feel in every bite. 👍✨ Personally, I still prefer Tiong Bahru’s chye poh (preserved radish) and chili sauce as they’re more fragrant and flavorful to me. 🌶️ But overall, this is still a very solid and satisfying chwee kueh, definitely worth a try if you’re around Ghim Moh! Affordable, nostalgic, and sure to bring back memories. Jin Ho Jiak! 😋😋😋

Couldn’t even bring myself to finish eating the 4 pieces. Regretted not checking the reviews here before buying. Ridiculously salty. No sweetness / umami at all. Michelin 2025 Seriously? Uncle was super grouchy and semi-threw my packet onto the metal counter top. Unbelievable.

Taste 3/5. Texture of Kueh is on the bitey-ier side. But I prefer it slightly softer. Chili and chai poh is rather salty. I prefer the more fragrant toppings from jian bo. Served by granny who seem to be strict about standards. Can't bear to give a 3.

No intro needed for this stall. Due to rising cost, it’s getting very expensive for this comfort food

Chwee kueh is bouncy and denser than the usual. It’s not tender like Jian Bo Chwee Kueh but still nice. However I was shocked when I saw how little Cai Poh they gave. Isn’t that supposed to be the star of the dish? If they were less stingy with the cai poh, I would have given another star.
