One of the better yong tau foo spots I’ve had in a while, and definitely worth returning to. Came here a couple of times and tried quite a spread: the 4 pax platter, Meat Lover Set C, and the Traditional Yong Tau Foo Sets (B1 & B2). Honestly, everything was solid in its own way, no real misses. What really stood out to me were the carbs. The dry noodles were my personal favourite, tossed in a rich dark sauce and topped with fragrant fried pork lard… wah, super shiok. The braised pork fried bee hoon was a hit with my family, savoury, slightly smoky, and very comforting. Even the bee hoon soup was clean and flavourful if you prefer something lighter. As for the yong tau foo itself, all the pieces were very well done, nicely fried, not greasy, and the fillings were tasty. Highly recommend upgrading to the salted fish filling, it adds that extra umami punch that really elevates the whole dish. We also tried the preserved vegetables with pork belly and the abacus seeds. Both were decent and enjoyable, but compared to the yong tau foo, they didn’t quite steal the spotlight. Overall, a very satisfying meal. Good variety, comforting flavours, and done properly. Confirm will come back again 👍

What can I say? There are Yong Tau Foo, and there are Yong Tau Foo, but this place serves Yong Tau Foo (YTF) that is definitely worth coming to the West (of Singapore) for. Unique flavour, great tasting, and excellent food quality. So unique that they even have their own unique chilli sauce to go with their YTF, and no, their YTF do not come with the usual chilli and sweet sauce. If you are ordering their YTF, it is highly recommended to opt for the Salted Fish fillings, and you cannot don’t try their Meatballs. Crunchy, tasty and delicious with every bite. Another good choice is their Preserved Vegetables with Pork Belly with Rice. Definitely a worthy choice as the pork belly is so well done and flavourful. Staff are friendly, courteous and helpful, and with an excellent choice of great tasting Hakka dishes, this is definitely THE place for repeated visits if you crave for quality good food, or simply on days when you want to eat out, but cannot think of what to eat or where to go.

Love at first bite! Flyboy has quickly become my favourite place to dine. The yong tau foo, curry chicken, and abacus seeds are absolute standouts. The owners are incredibly generous — the YTF is generously stuffed with meat paste, and you can even top up for salted fish paste, which was such a pleasant surprise. The curry chicken is rich, fragrant, and truly delicious. As for the abacus seeds, they’re simply unforgettable (though sadly not available everyday). You can really taste the freshness in every ingredient, and the owners are so friendly and welcoming. I just wish I lived closer so I could visit every day!

✨ Hidden Gem Found in the West! ✨ This is truly an awesome find—especially since it’s been many years since I last discovered a food gem like this. Located in the west of Singapore at a small mall called NEWest, this spot is a real treat. West-siders, you’re in luck today! If you’re craving delicious Yong Tau Foo, this is one place you shouldn’t miss. I stumbled upon it while waiting for a friend, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The food is incredibly tasty with a robust, comforting flavour that lingers in your mind long after the meal—one of those places you’ll find yourself thinking about again and again. Some may find the prices slightly on the higher side, but I personally find them very reasonable given the quality and generous portions. I always go for the Meat Lovers set ($9.90) and happily top up $2 to swap the rice for pork trotter bee hoon—absolutely worth it. And let’s not forget the chilli: it’s super tasty and elevates the entire dish. The cosy café-style setting is another plus, with good service which makes the experience even better. All in all, a satisfying and memorable meal—definitely a spot I’ll be returning to. 🍜🔥

Fresh and delicious yong tau foo ingredients coupled with friendly and amicable service! FLYBOY serves 3 different sets of yong tau foo with a carb of your choice like rice or bee hoon. They also recently added black soy sauce noodles which were springy and al dente. You also have the option to upgrade your yong tau foo's sauce to curry, which is also really tasty imo. Each ingredient is fresh and well seasoned, which really made the set as a whole easily palatable. They also provide soup on the side, which in itself was savory and appetizing. Overall an excellent experience 👌 highly recommended, 8/10. 👍

What really sets them apart is their attention to detail for each yong Tau foo. The standout was the savoury sauce that drenched the platter with a really nice hint of fermented beancurd that gave the whole dish a deep, complex flavour. Had the black noodles with crisp lard bits, and they were exceptional. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the flavour was so good it could easily rival some dedicated wanton mee stores. It's a must order item if you visit. The meal felt like great value for the quality. Our order of three sets came to around $36 which was reasonable. Not too crowded on a weekend evening.

Just had an early lunch at Flyboy Hakka Yong Tau Fu. Was great that Keith, the friendly boss, came round to recommend some dishes so that we won't over-order. As Hakkas ourselves, we will not miss the Yam abacus seeds (suan pan zhi) & of course the yong tau fu (we opted for fillings with salted fish). Good food & attentive service; boss & one lady staff came around to check if all was well, despite having a full house by then. We'll be back for sure. The yam abacus seeds are only available on Fridays, weekends & public holidays. Good job, boss Keith, keep it up! It is difficult to find good Hakka food nowadays.
