pulling a tourist move by trying out sg’s most famous salted egg chicken and honestly, we had a great time! it’s located inside sim lim square. the place was quite packed the moment we got in (it was during lunch break so understandable). the egg sauce was very thick & creamy so it got overwhelming after several bites😅 it’s not for me personally but still, it’s delicious and nice to try! my husband ordered mongolian chicken and it was slightly more herby (?) than the salted egg… i prefer the latter though

I visited at around 11:00 AM, so it wasn’t too crowded yet. There was a wide variety of dishes to choose from, but I came specifically to try their famous salted egg chicken. I ordered the Salted Egg Chicken with Rice for SGD 8.60 and a Lemongrass Iced Tea for SGD 2.20. The food was delicious, the restaurant was clean, and the portion was satisfying. The other dishes on display also looked incredibly appetizing, and I’d definitely love to come back to try more of the menu.

Despite being located in an old, slightly damp shopping mall, Quan was still very crowded (with both locals and customers). We arrived around 10 am and had to queue, but ordering went very quickly. The salted egg chicken rice was a must-try and lived up to expectations; the spicy lemongrass chicken rice was also very interesting. The prices were cheap compared to other dishes we had eaten in Singapore.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Local Chinese Food Experience at 3 Meals a Day, Sim Lim Square If you are looking for delicious and affordable local Chinese cuisine in Singapore, 3 Meals a Day at Sim Lim Square (1st Floor, #02-01) is definitely worth visiting. The restaurant is well-known for its signature Salted Egg dishes, and after trying several of their specialties, I can understand why it has become so popular among both locals and tourists. The restaurant offers a wide variety of menu options, ranging from classic Chinese dishes to a convenient self-service buffet section where customers can choose their preferred dishes. Everything is displayed neatly, making it easy to decide what to order. My personal favorites were the Salted Egg Pork Ribs, Cheezy Butter Chicken, and Cereal Chicken. The Salted Egg Pork Ribs were perfectly cooked, coated with a rich and creamy salted egg sauce that was packed with flavor. The Cheezy Butter Chicken was incredibly addictive with its savory and slightly sweet taste, while the Cereal Chicken provided a wonderful crispy texture and aromatic flavor. Another highlight is the chili sauce and sambal acar, which can be taken freely in individual cups. The chili sauce in particular was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with almost every dish on the menu. The restaurant is conveniently located just a short walk from Rochor MRT Station, making it very accessible. Cleanliness is well-maintained despite the high customer traffic, and the dining area is comfortable and spacious enough for both individuals and groups. The cashier staff were efficient and professional, ensuring that billing was accurate and quick. Additional charges are clearly explained, such as SGD 0.80 for an extra egg and SGD 0.30 for takeaway packaging, which reflects good transparency in pricing. One feature I particularly liked was their takeaway system. After placing an order, customers receive a paging alarm device that notifies them once the food is ready for collection. This makes the ordering process organized and convenient. Considering the excellent food quality, generous portions, wide menu selection, convenient location, and affordable pricing, 3 Meals a Day offers outstanding value for money. It is impressive that a restaurant of this quality, recognized by food enthusiasts and frequently recommended by visitors to Singapore, continues to maintain such reasonable prices. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Sim Lim Square, Rochor, or Bugis area. I will definitely return on my next trip to Singapore. Recommended Dishes: ✅ Salted Egg Pork Ribs ✅ Cheezy Butter Chicken ✅ Cereal Chicken ✅ Chinese Buffet Selections ✅ Chili Sauce & Sambal Acar (Must Try!) - Free🌶️🍗🍚🇸🇬

I came here during my 24-hour layover, so I didn’t bring any cash with me. The owner was incredibly kind and generous—she still treated me to one of their signature dishes. I feel so blessed and grateful for such warm hospitality. The signature dish is absolutely worth all the hype, and everything felt even more special because of how friendly and welcoming everyone was. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in town. Highly recommend!

I have to write this review because of the lovely and kind owner. If she reads this, I'm truly grateful to her! Following the success of TikTok, during my 6-day trip to Singapore, the meals at 3 Meals were the best. First, the food suited my taste; second, the rice was hot; and third, the restaurant was cool and airy, not stuffy and hot. The lunch was so delicious that our group went back for dinner, but we forgot to bring cash, and we hadn't downloaded Zalo Pay yet. Remembering we still had some cash, the three of us huddled together to count if we had enough, since the restaurant only accepts cash or QR codes. Luckily, we had enough, but only enough for two plates of rice and noodles and one latte. Then, when we went to eat, the owner gave us an extra plate of rice and two glasses of lemon tea and milk tea! 😭😭 Later, we learned that because we were a group of three but only ordered two dishes and one drink, she took pity on us and gave them to us. She said it was a gift from her, a present from her, and we should eat it. We were so incredibly happy. We are so grateful for her kindness. Next time we return to Singapore, we will definitely bring some Vietnamese gifts for her ❤️

I am someone who travels a lot for frequent overseas business trips and vacations. I usually don't leave reviews because it's a hassle, but... Salted egg chicken with rice. It is really delicious. I had a bit of trouble paying because my credit card wasn't working, but I was even more satisfied by the owner's kindness when she said, "Auntie will treat you, just eat it." 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🫶🫶🫶👊🏻👊🏻 I'm full, but I'm getting one to go haha

The chicken with salted egg sauce is incredibly delicious. Fried eggs are an extra charge and not included in the dish, so remember to remind your waiter if you don't want them when you order. It gets crowded at 12 noon, and you might not find a table immediately. After ordering, you'll have to queue to wait for a table. Consider this if you're going with a large group.
