Prawns and pork ribs with noodles in a zesty broth that was outrageously rich and tasty. It's the only thing he serves, and it's excellent. You do get a choice of noodle: rice, wheat, or egg-based.

The most PERFECT prawn mee in the world. Truly. The hamsum uncle is just as friendly. The noodles consistently tasty and good value. Small ($8) gets you 2 huge juicy prawns, ribs, and motherlovin crispy lahpok (lard). Ask uncle for some collagen and he happily garnishes your bowl with a bunch of pig skin, for free. Free soup adds too. It used to be $8 10 years ago and is still $8! Can’t complain about value. I hate that his Chinatown venture closed down :( Anyhow, uncle may your beer always be cold and your aircon always the right temperature. Huat ah. I LOVE YOUR MEE. After so many years, this is still the best prawn mee. Big prawns, solid soup, tender ribs and noodles well cooked.

Kinda overrated prawn noodle stall. A little overpriced for the portion. It’s a standard bowl of prawn noodle with a decent umami taste to the broth. But it’s not worth the queue. Portion is small and the stall is late in opening.

Ate this in a Saturday afternoon. Been wanting to try it but was quite disappointed after I did. Prawns were big but tough and tasteless. Noodles were undercooked. Sauce was ok, leaning towards the sweet side (maybe tomato sauce). Soup tasted like peppery bkt soup. It was pricier than normal prawn noodles at $8. I wouldn't eat it even at $5. Other prawn noodles i prefer more. One prawn noodle at MacPherson. Expensive at $15 but the soup was very tasty. Gik Gik heng at cheng San Market. $4 only and overall tasty. Wah kee at pek Kio. Aunty has a reputation for bad service but the soup is tasty with strong garlic notes.

It is flavour city with this one. The chewy, thick bee hoon and yellow noodles are tossed in a savoury sauce with hints of ketchup and sambal. Prawns are fresh, succulent, and sweet with a satisfying bite, unlike the smaller ones commonly used. Dip them into a little soy sauce and chili powder for extra shiokness. At times, the combination of prawns with dry noodles even tasted like Singapore’s famous chili crab. Crab can also be ordered a la carte here. The soup is the star here: full of depth and oomph, rich with the sweet essence of seafood and pork, and of course, umami. The pork ribs also deserve praise for its peppery aroma and tender texture. Bursts of fat come through when a piece of fried pork lard is bitten into - sinfully divine.

It’s been a while since I ate here. This is one of few stalls selling BIG prawns noodles only. Minimum price starts at $8 as seen in photo. Besides the big prawns there are pork ribs and pork belly slices in it. Soup is very intense and flavourful. Prawns are definitely fresh and delicious. Pork ribs are tender enough to fall off the bone when bitten upon. Pork belly slices are thinly cut and actually firm to bite. Love the whole meal. Only setback is stall owner is the silent type. So can come across as aloft. I know service for hawker food is not highly sought but a simple reply is at least he could’ve done. Nevertheless I’ll go back when I feel like eating big prawns noodles. By the way cash is king here. So don’t try paying with other ways.

Got the dry thick beehoon prawn mee. For the $8, 3 big prawns (halved into 6s), some pork ribs and succulent noodles were served. Had the thick beehoon (forgot to change to yellow noodles), so the noodles didnt really absorb the dry sauce, nevertheless, really good flavour and spice. prawns were fresh, deshelled easily to my liking. Soup was flavourful, more on the peppery, savoury and gao. For people exploring with prawn mees, give this a go !
