Well I was sceptical! However for a high end Indonesian recommendation we had to go there and try it out. Was a late lunch so not busy. The Architecture of the place is impressive. Great atmosphere and ambience. We tried 4 small plates that did not disappoint. The buns were amazing The prawn and pork dumplings inmlaksa sauce were incredible. The chicken was exquisite and the duck 🦆 was not what you would expect in a good way. Then the beef cheek came out which was special. The desserts were awesome and the White Chocolate Vodka Martini was incredible. Expected a massive bill but it was very reasonable considering other top end restaurant prices in Bali. Great food. Great flavours. Really well done. Staff were terrific which seems to be a constant theme in Bali. Worth the visit.

Wow! Incredible restaurant both in terms of the vibes and the flavours! Coming from London, both tasting menus felt like decently priced options for people wanting to try a variety of Indonesian dishes. I went for menu one with an additional appetiser of Lombok Oyster amd a cocktail on the side - totalling around 865k + service/taxes. The tasting menu really was a journey though different regional dishes and I was very glad I chose to go the tasting route. Portion sizes were large so I was a bit full by the end of it but not painfully so. My dining companions created their own tasting menus but ended up ordering a bit too much! For me the oysters, the duck and the beef checks were my favourite dishes, which I wasn't expecting! And the citrus cocktail was my favourite drinks wise. Service throughout the meal was friendly and helpful but not overbearing. All in all a fantastic and unforgettable meal for my final night in Bali - I would highly recommend to anybody wanting to experience regional Indonesian food in a luxe setting.

There is no denying that the architecture at Merah Putih is absolutely impressive. The space itself is visually stunning and grandiose, but unfortunately, the physical comfort stops there. During my visit, it was uncomfortably hot inside, almost as if they simply didn't want to turn on the AC. Sweating through a fine dining experience definitely ruins the upscale atmosphere they seem to be aiming for. The food itself was a bright spot. I ordered the Bebek Betutu, and it was genuinely delicious. However, that great dish was quickly overshadowed by the nickel-and-diming and the extremely lackluster service. For a restaurant operating in the fine dining space, charging extra for basic crackers, something freely offered at other nearby elevated restaurants, just feels incredibly stingy and sets the wrong tone from the start. Ultimately, the subpar service was the biggest letdown of the night. For a restaurant trying to present a high-end image, the staff felt very uptight, and there was a complete lack of friendly, welcoming faces. When the hospitality and basic comfort levels are this poor, even a delicious duck dish and a beautiful building can't save the evening. I definitely won't be coming back.

We were absolutely delighted with our dinner at Merah Putih! The ambience is stunning, creating the perfect atmosphere for a wonderful evening, and the food is amazingly delicious. Every dish we tried was incredible, but the absolute standouts were the jackfruit bao bun, the Kembang kol, and the tempeh bagum. To top it all off, the dragon frizz mocktail was incredibly refreshing. The watermelon mocktail was also good. Highly recommend this place for an unforgettable dining experience!

Wesley and I want to personally thank Melissa and the entire team at Merah Putih for hosting the most perfect wedding lunch reception. From the very beginning, Melissa was incredibly accommodating and an excellent communicator. She thoughtfully considered every request we had, from dietary requirements (including vegan and vegetarian), to table setup, equipment hire, cake delivery, and even last-minute changes to seating arrangements and guest numbers. As the day approached, she stayed in close contact with us to ensure every detail was covered. On the day itself, Melissa and the staff were absolutely wonderful. Warm, friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring towards all of our guests. The venue itself is stunning, with lush greenery set within a grand indoor, high-ceiling space. One of my favourite moments was being able to walk down the beautiful staircase with my dad for my entrance, it was truly unforgettable. The food was exceptional! Our guests were so impressed by how delicious everything was. The signature cocktails were equally amazing, both beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. The team was also very accommodating with the Spotify playlist we had prepared, which made everything feel even more personal. We truly couldn’t recommend Merah Putih enough, whether for a special event or even just a meal in Seminyak. Five stars all around! Thank you again for making our dream wedding come true.

Look, would you look at that. Google "Bali fine dining" and this fine establishment is mentioned in most travel sites and blogs, and with good reason. Their menu is decidedly local, with a classy twist. Highlighting Indonesian ingredients and preparations paired with the usual high-end stalwarts like yellowfin tuna, tiger prawns and scallops. Choose from their vast ala carte menu, or opt for their 9-course tasting menu for a greatest hits of sorts. The good news is, they're vegetarian-friendly as well, with ample choices and even their own tasting menu. Although billed as fine dining, the ambience approaches a casual outlet because it's frequently full due to their fame. Regardless, their attentive and caring staff should really applaud themselves for providing excellent service despite the crowd, always friendly and making sure everyone is taken care of. The modern/rainforest theme was tasteful and elegant, with tall floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding the main dining floor. As for the food, they're nothing short of spectacular. A lot of care and imagination went into the curated tasting menu. My wife and I tried two tasting menus (regular and vegetarian) and were delightfully heady with the barrage of colours, textures and flavours that enveloped us from beginning to end. The highlight for me was the bebek or grilled duck, which had a texture of medium rare tenderloin, paired with umami-rich soy and a rich peanut sauce, an amazing fusion of east and west. My wife enjoyed the chargrilled tempeh (or soybean cake) that was smoky and bursting with flavour. Rounding up the splendid evening with cocktails, it was a memorable meal that we didn't want to end. The most surprising was the price. Our meals and drinks were less than USD100. Absolutely recommended.

Had an excellent birthday dinner at Mirah Putih. They have a fantastic atmosphere, a well marked, easy to follow menu including vegan and vegetarian options and a great wine by the glass menu at a reasonable price. For anyone looking for a great, fine dining experience at a relatively medium-cost for what you’re getting it’s excellent.

If I was only scoring for visual appearance of everything it would get 5 stars. Really nice interior, Ambience, and food was plated nicely. However, it all tasted like watered down Balinese flavours-like someone who wants have western food with ultra mild Indonesian flavours. We got Tasting menu 1. No dishes were memorable. Would not return. Maybe suitable for someone who usually only eats fish and chips, or club sandwiches and wants to brag to there friends on instagram they have eaten Indonesian food.
