We have just finished a week in Canggu and ate at quite a few restaurants. Our night at Yuki though felt very special and was probably our favorite restaurant. We had miso soup, yakitori chicken , salmon sushimi and duck hotpot. And washed it down with some Japanese beers. The food tasted really fresh. The atmosphere was great with beautiful lighting and tables where you mixed with other guests. What really made our night so though was the fantastic waitress Anggi that we had. She was enthusiastic, went through the menu with us, checked on us every few minutes , took some great photos of us and helped serve the food. What incredible service. Bali really does have some of the nicest hospitality staff that you could find and Anggi is one of the best. Thank you Anggi.

YUKI has quickly established itself as one of Bali's most sought-after dining destinations, offering a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Japanese izakaya. Created by hospitality entrepreneur Rai Sutama, the concept blends authentic Japanese culinary techniques with the abundance of fresh ingredients available across the island, resulting in a dining experience that feels both distinctly Japanese and uniquely Balinese. The menu celebrates premium seafood, carefully crafted sushi, charcoal and wood-fired specialties, alongside an extensive cocktail program designed to complement the vibrant food offering. Every dish is created with sharing in mind, encouraging a relaxed and social style of dining that reflects both Japanese izakaya culture and Bali's communal lifestyle. What makes YUKI particularly memorable is its atmosphere. Open-air architecture, natural textures, energetic music, and a constant flow of guests create a space that feels effortlessly stylish without being overly formal. Whether visiting for a leisurely lunch, sunset cocktails, or dinner with friends, YUKI captures the essence of modern Bali dining through a combination of exceptional food, thoughtful design, and vibrant hospitality.

Extremely disappointed with this place. Our New Year’s Eve was completely ruined. We paid a 3.7 million IDR deposit in advance for the New Year’s dinner. We were promised a special New Year’s menu and program, but what we actually received was nothing but frustration. First, we were told that the entire menu included only one portion for two people, which is absurd considering that two full menus were paid for. We were also informed that a glass of champagne was included in the price. In reality, we were served half a flute per person and told that it was merely a “welcome drink” and that we should just drink what we were given — which directly contradicts what was advertised. The waitstaff showed little to no attention to us. Instead of serving guests, they were standing in groups, checking their phones and ignoring tables. The DJ kept leaving the booth, there was no festive atmosphere at all, and by 10 PM the venue was already empty. No one was celebrating New Year’s here. The final insult was seeing a couple seated at the next table who had no deposit at all and simply ordered two cocktails from the regular menu, while we had paid a significant New Year’s Eve deposit for “special treatment” that never existed UPD I have attached an image of your offer, which clearly proves your dishonesty. Nowhere in your proposal is it stated that this is a shared menu. A drink that is explicitly included in the menu cannot be presented as a welcome drink, since it is already part of what was offered and paid for. Even if that were somehow the case, serving less than half a glass is nothing but mockery and disrespect. I clearly pointed this out to your staff and I am prepared to repeat it again. This is unacceptable. Shame on you.

A really intimate and private Japanese restaurant experience, especially at night. I came in the evening and loved how close it is to the beach. The atmosphere feels cozy and secluded, with lighting that is noticeably darker than most restaurants at night, which makes it feel unique and romantic rather than crowded or loud. Despite the low lighting, the food truly stands out. Every dish was great and well executed, making the overall experience feel special and memorable. It is the kind of place you go to for a quiet dinner, good conversation, and consistently good Japanese food.

Celebrated our 8th anniversary here in Yuki. Did a last minute reservation at 9 PM, so glad we did! Food was beyong amazing. We had the tuna tartare (9/10), wagyu beef sando, (11/10), prawn tempura roll (10/10), chicken thigh yakitori (11/10) and the grilled porkchop (8.5/10). Our favorites were the wagyu beef sando, chicken thigh yakitori, and prawn tempura maki roll. But everything was delicious and portions were more than enough for 2 people. We wanted to have salmon but unfortunately it was sold out. So try to have an earlier reservation if you want to order anything salmon. The ambience was also very intimate. But felt luxurious and relaxing at the same time. Great place for date nights or dinner with friends or family. Service was impeccable. Anggi was our server and she was very attentive to our needs. She was also so kind and conversed with us, and asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. Keep up the great work! Our bill was around 1 million IDR but we had around 3 starters, 1 maki roll, 1 main dish, and a complementary dessert. Everything is worth it! Definitely a must try in Canggu.

Thank YOU Yuki for such an amazing dreamy experience, and also shoutout to Gede & his friends by the bar side who literally made our experience so enjoyable. From the birthday songs/dessert, being so attentive to our needs, having bar side chats with us, smiling looking at us enjoying our food and sharing with us their menu offerings, showing us their fav drinks (pls try their Bee&Basil Fizz, Mad Matcha drink) The maki’s were absolutely divine and I can absolutely tell how happy the staffs at working together with their environment, good staffs vibes/care, and loving what they do which made it even more of a joy for us. Thank you Yuki for taking care of your staffs so well, and providing us such an intimate cozy experience with 10/10 food. Gade & friends - mad food skills.

If you're a digital nomad or any type of person who may need to check your work urgently on your laptop do not go here, at least in the evening . They have a rule that is not disclosed to guests but they claim are in some "Terms and Conditions " (lol, Terms and Conditions that are not disclose to guests ) that say no laptops after 5pm. The reason? They want guests to enjoy their "fine dining" . This is a joke. We aren't talking about 5 Michelin star dining. It's an open air place next to an extremely noisy and busy beachfront . I asked the manager to explain if they are concerned about the user not enjoying his or her "fine" meal or if it was that others would see a laptop and it would destroy their amazing fine dining experience. He said "it's not a work place restaurant " and if someone sees me using a laptop then magically everyone will break out their laptops. Welcome to the 21st century dude , people who have money and are not displaying behavior that is disruptive the the atmosphere may have 24 7 365 requirements to tend to work. And truth be told if I broke out a laptop at Rubechon in HK they are too high class to say "sir, put your laptop away". No terms and conditions lol on the website. Perhaps they'll buck a new trend and add T&C

I had an exceptional dining experience at Yuki Canggu-easily one of the best Japanese restaurants in the area! We ordered the Prawn, Cured Salmon, Tuna Truffle, Salmon Torched Roll, miso soup, and every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The cured salmon was delicate and perfectly balanced, while the tuna had just the right mix of freshness and texture. The torched salmon was a standout — rich, slightly smoky, and absolutely the best one. Even the miso soup was done just right — simple, warm, and comforting. The service was also outstanding. A big thank you to Widi and Erni, who made us feel incredibly welcome. They were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the entire meal. Their warm hospitality really made the experience even more memorable. The atmosphere at Yuki Canggu is relaxed yet refined — perfect for a casual night out or a special dinner. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for high-quality Japanese food and top-notch service in Canggu!
