Decided to give it one more chance. Today order another food. By the look of the char kway teow, I already knew it failed terribly ... Absolute waste of money and calories ... As a penangnite , I would say the previous Halal ckt of Boleh-Boleh stall serve better ckt than this . What a big let down .... Updated the review with our leftover food (my son also can't finish the prawn mee) very sinful, but in our opinion really cannot make it .

JASON PENANG CUISINE On Sunday, my wife and I went to the newly renovated Hawker Street food court in Clementi Mall. We were attracted to the stall Jason Penang Cuisine. I ordered the Penang Char Keow Teow for my wife and the Penang Hokkien Char. After payment I was given a buzzer and waited for my orders. Some 15 minutes later, the buzzer beeped. I went to collect the food but only the Char Keow Teow was ready. The cook told me to wait some more for the Hokkien Char as she would only cook this once she accumulated enough orders. I took the Char Keow Teow back to my seat. After my wife had finished her food and after some 30 minutes later, the buzzer was still silent. I went to the stall to politely enquire what was happening with my Hokkien Char. The cook was aggressive, rude and scolded me. She said I told you to wait. I said I have been waiting for 45 minutes. She responded that I was looking to quarrel with her and she abruptly turned away. The cashier tried to help and said that my order will be ready shortly. There was another female who enquired about her order. She suffered the same fate as me. Visit this stall only if you don’t mind getting scolded after waiting for an unreasonably long time for small portion poor tasting food. The char keow teow had two prawns, a little bit of egg and a four pieces paper thin slices western sausage. The Hokkien Char had a few pieces of roast pork, bland salty gravy. I will not be patronising this stall again in spite of the Michelin mention logo. I will give feedback to Michelin.

I read reviews about bad service attitude, but it was alright when I ordered my Assam Laksa. No friction, cashier auntie was nice. Laksa was alright~ Pretty spicy, little tangy with herbal notes, soupy and flavourful soup, boiling hot 👍🏻 but not much fish. Works fine for satisfying the craving. Edit: this bowl is okay, but I've since tried a better and way more gao(less soupy) one at admiralty Penang seafood. Tangy loaded with bits of fish in every spoonful and huge chunks of fish to top it off! ❤️ best yet! ☺️

Sad to say falls short significantly vs the original at ABC Brickworks. No doubt the food court is clean and aorconditioned but when food quality is the primary consideration the taste of the Lor Bak and Char Kuay Teow falls short. The Lor Bak lacks taste and has chunks of chewy meat rather than a firm to bite but well flavoured filling. The CKT was freshly fried and just OK but lacking in the Wok Hei and flavor being a little too salty for my taste. For the price sadly I will not be back.

Overall, the taste was okay, but the kway teow was a bit too sticky, with a floury, mushy texture. It would probably taste much better if it were drier. The portion size was quite large; even a small portion was quite filling. Also, the chef/staff tried to scoop up the noodles that had fallen off the plate with their hands, which is typical for Hawker hawkers in terms of hygiene…

Ordered the Assam laksa because it was a 必点. Extremely disappointed with the quality, taste and temperature of the dish. Isn’t it a Michelin star hawker?! There was no fish in the gravy, only tiny strips of cucumber and lettuce, no pineapple, no mint leaves and the soup was not hot and FISHY! I’ll never wanna order any other dishes from this store!

Tasteless, bland, under seasoned, not even spicy. Chef fried a few plates at the same time. I’ve eaten actual Penang CKT all my life and I feel so upset. Also are all these reviews at hawker street a scam? Users with Single digit reviews, is it all the workers reviewing among themselves or some social media agency trying to drown out the negative authentic reviews

Ordered this plate of penang char kway teow about 5mins before posting this. Sadly it's really bad and does not reflect well on the quality of the other outlets. No wok hei, kway teow tastes exactly like it's from the economy bee hoon stall, lup cheong has no colour whatsoever, as if boiled and thrown in. 2 prawns for almost $7 plate. And this, coming from a penangite. Dont bother with this stall.
