One of our local favourite flavour fish and chips. Crispy fries, creamy coleslaw, nice and flaky filet. Both the sauces balance the entire dish.

Food always succeed to make it taste lethargic after a few bites, find it hard to swollow the remaining 50% of the food. You're continuing with variations of "gelut"! It's a common experience when trying to recall a word, especially if it's from a different language or a less common term. To reiterate from our previous conversation: * "Gelut" (Malay/Indonesian) primarily means to wrestle, grapple, or struggle. It's not related to food or taste. The search for "gerlut" also doesn't yield any relevant results for food descriptions. It seems to appear in some technical contexts related to Bible translations ("GerLut version"). The word you're likely looking for is "jelak" (Malay). In Singapore and Malaysia, "jelak" is widely used to describe the feeling of being overwhelmed, sick of, or satiated to the point of repulsion by food, especially rich, oily, or sweet dishes. It's that feeling where you've had too much of a good thing, and even if you're not physically full, the taste or richness becomes unappetizing. So, if you want to express that the food tastes oily and becomes unpleasant after too many bites, "jelak" is the perfect word, especially in the local context of Singapore. Wanted to try out lunch here. Unfortunately the service coming from this particular staff(skinny Chinese guy with spectacle) is SUPER HORRIBLE. He have no basic courtesy. He seems like can't be bothered acted like gangsters. Seeing his attitude just turn us off to try the food there. Let's be simple, to the skinny boy(staff) if you don't want to work and served, just begone. Simple

I love the food here. But I wanted to eat the beef bolognese and add grill fish. Lady told me it is not allowed. So sad ever since I don't want to eat here anymore. Hope the boss can allow it

Happy Hawker outlet is closed. Went there 2 Fridays in a row and stall is totally empty...no cooking at all
