I recently tried the chicken omurice at CoCoICHIBANYA and it was honestly such a comforting and satisfying meal. The omelette was soft, fluffy, and perfectly cooked, pairing really well with the fragrant Japanese curry rice underneath. The chicken was tender and flavorful, with a nice crispy texture that added extra bite to the dish. What I liked most was how balanced everything tasted — rich curry, creamy egg, and juicy chicken all coming together without being too heavy. The portion size was also generous, making it great value for money. The service was fast, and the atmosphere felt casual and cozy, perfect for a quick meal or a catch-up with friends. Definitely one of those dishes I would come back for again whenever I’m craving Japanese comfort food.

Once again my experience here has taught me that high ratings can be misleading. Honestly, most of the positive reviews here feel fake. I ordered the level 5 spicy curry but it wasn't even that spicy, tasted same as level 3. Their service was quite disappointing as well. I noticed every other table was served water but the staff never bothered to ask us or bring any to our table. It felt like we were being ignored. Compared to my experiences in Japan and other regions this place is way overpriced. I really don’t feel like it’s worth the price at all especially considering the mediocre food and the inconsistent service.

Tried the lvl 5 spice pork katsuuuu omu-curry rice today 🥹🥹 the curry was REALLY SALTY tho I’ve got no idea whether it’s bcs of the spice paste??? they used that was salty or their initial plain curry is alr salty?! It’s my first time trying so I’ve got no idea. Add on cheese & spinach for extra $2+ each topping but the cheese portion is so little :(( Pork katsuuuu is a little lack lustre too bcs for $18.50 I was expecting a more substantial size to go with the amount of cuuuurryyy. In the end my katsu finished my curry & rice still LEFT SO MUCH. Not to mention the taste of the cutlet was meh tooo. Not juicy, pretty bland… well at least it’s not cardboard texture 🤨😖 BUT ON THE BETTER NOTE 📝 service lady was really sweet even gave me a phone stand without me asking 🥺 as expected from a jap diner!! 💯 anyways alot of space for improvement food quality wise~

Dear Management, If you would like to understand the reason behind my 1-star review or if you genuinely care about your company’s reputation, please provide me with your direct email address so I can share my experience in detail. For your reference, we were served by Joy from your service crew. We ended up leaving without consuming the food and drinks we ordered — we simply paid and left. Thank you. UPDATES AS OF 4 APRIL 26: BTW, NO RESPONSE FROM YOUR TEAM FOR CLOSE TO A MONTH NOW AND WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED (see uploaded image).

A special thanx to Doreen who was extremely welcoming guests into the restaurant. She was alert enough to notice empty cups to refill with water. Was a nice gesture for Cocoichi to provide ice/warm water for guests. The ultimate tasting experience is still having the curry with non sugared drink to enjoy the best taste of Cocoichi' s curry, still my most favorite among the various Japanese brands which extended their business here in Singapore. Will visit again this outlet again to visit Doreen cos shes really nice throughout. Do find her around this outlet. It's extremely rare to find staff had passion overlimits, as most wasnt such case. Keep it up! The curry experience today was made an even better one with Doreen's presence.

I ordered the curry ramen and wow, the ramen noodles were terrible, the egg was terrible and the curry was terrible. Noodles were instantly disappointing in texture and the curry feels super dilute and lacks taste. I wouldn’t be hammering this hard if the dish wasn’t this expensive. Having had the coco curry in japan, I guess my expectations were misplaced but higher price and worse taste is an interesting combination.

Place was empty. Felt that standard gone down. When they first started, I felt that it was a lot better. The curry was thicker etc. maybe the rising costs are getting to them.

I just had an amazing meal at this restaurant. We ordered the pork cutlet curry, which was delicious and in very big portions. Thanks to Lisa who was amazing, and very proactive in the service. She even offered to take a picture of our group. The atmosphere was fine. Overall, definitely wouldn recommend to people at Star Vista.
