I haven't been back here at the Chomp Chomp Centre for at least 10 years now. I came back with the family for a dinner under the recommendation and suggestion of my son and we were actually pleasantly surprised because you could see that there probably was a renovation or facelift not so long ago. The hawker centre was nice and bright and you can see that there are a lot more seats available now. We came here with the intention to have our dinner at the Hawker Fair and we were not disappointed. We had a variety of fried carrot cake, oyster omelette, barbecue seafood, and the Hokkien prawn mee. Food quality was really good and we even had second helpings of the carrot cake. The seafood barbecue was not too spicy and definitely had good portion sizes. The family had a very good time having our dinner here and we were very happy that prices have remained at a very reasonable rate and that everybody walked out very satisfied and very full. It was good that there were also bigger table sizes available for our group of five people. It was just on the tail end of the dinner rush when we were there so we managed to find our seats within ten minutes of arriving at the centre. That was good. Waiting time for the food was reasonable. We were served our food in very good time and the stall owners were very friendly and offered to bring the food to our table even though they normally would only do self-collection. I'm very happy to have rediscovered this place and revisited after so long. We'll definitely make this a regular visit for our dinners. Highly recommended for anyone in the vicinity of Serangoon Gardens.

Dropped by Chomp Chomp Food Centre for dinner, and as expected, it was a full-on local hawker feast. The place was buzzing with life — smoky grills, sizzling woks, and the mouthwatering aroma of barbecued seafood filling the air. Finding a seat took a little patience, but once settled, it was game on. We went for all the classics: BBQ stingray with spicy sambal, Hokkien mee drenched in rich prawn stock, satay with perfectly charred edges, and a towering glass of sugarcane juice to wash it all down. Every stall seemed to have its own crowd of loyal fans, and honestly, the quality here explains why. The flavours were bold, portions generous, and everything tasted fresh off the grill or wok. Chomp Chomp isn’t the place for quiet dining — it’s noisy, lively, and unapologetically bustling. But that’s exactly what makes it such a Singapore food icon. If you’re visiting with friends or family, come hungry, be ready to share plates, and just soak in the hawker culture at its finest.

Closed from 27 October 2025 to 26 January 2026 for renovations and upgrading works. This is a great food centre with a diverse selection of hawker food. Been eating here when i was younger and living in Serangoon Gardens. My current fav char kway teow is located at this food centre and they have quite a few good stalls serving BBQ sambal stingray. On my last visit I was surprised to see that Chomp Chomp isn't as crowded as it used to be back in the day. On the bright side, it’s way easier to get a seat now.

Great late-night supper spot in Serangoon Gardens! It's perfect for satisfying evening cravings, especially their famous satay ($0.90/stick) and chicken wings. My friends really enjoyed the sambal stingray, and we washed everything down with fresh sugar cane juice. The facilities are kept very clean, and the newly refurbished washrooms are a great bonus. Definitely recommend.

Chomp Chomp was established in 1972 as a "hawkers centre", now better known as foodcentre. It has been upgraded a few times over the years, the latest one was end of 2025 till March 2026. Our cleaning manager gave us the tip about the great food at the very recently reopened foodhall. And she was spot on, what an absolute treat, this hidden gem. A must visit, higly recommended.
