First time trying. Did not expect the price to be so high , a small bowl like that costs $19+, w two fried fish at the side. Was there an option to choose which item we want to be fried? It tasted quite salty. Ingredients were not even fresh. There was not even much condiments aside from spring onion parsley and coriander. Not even chilli or vinegar or soya sauce :/ Food is decent but definitely not worth the price for mala

Despite the reviews, the collagen mala broth was only decent. The collagen side of the house wasn't too strong. The additional creamy scrambled egg was added to the broth, but was otherwise quite nice. Selection of ingredients was slightly smaller than other mala chains, but they were overall OK. The Thai red milk tea was pretty decent too. Much less sweet compared to the standard, but the tea fragrance was present. It would have gotten 4 stars if not for majority of the small bowls being dirty. The payment instructions regarding the buzzer also did not align with the flow of the kiosk. Lastly I could have seen a small cockroach at the tray return area, but it was on the kitchen side of things, so I can't be sure.

Tried the Mala Guo and Collagen Soup, and they were all really good. The Mala Guo was the highlight for me. Super flavourful with a good kick of spice, and adding the scrambled egg made it even better. It's quite a unique combination that I haven't had before. You can enjoy it with either noodles or rice, and both work really well. The Cheese Otah is a must-order. Soft, fragrant, and the cheese gives it an extra layer of flavour without overpowering the otah. Definitely worth trying. Another thing I liked is that if you order lotus root or potato, they slice them very thin and fry them into crispy chips. It gives a really nice crunchy texture and is something a little different from the usual mala ingredients. The Collagen Soup was rich, comforting and a nice balance to the mala. Overall, a very satisfying meal with some unique dishes that stand out from the usual. Will definitely recommand anyone to try this new stall within SSC.

Had a really good experience at Hot Hideout! The food was delicious, especially the mala hotpot — flavourful, spicy and satisfying. The ingredients were fresh and there was a good variety to choose from. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable and enjoyable. Definitely a great place to go with family or friends if you’re looking for a good mala hotpot. Will definitely come back again! 👍
