Springleaf Prata Place

Walked into the shop and the floor was super oily, which didn’t feel safe at all. Not sure if something was spilled or if it just wasn’t cleaned properly, but it was definitely a hazard. The food was tasty, though the prata wasn’t really my style. I ordered 2 egg prata which the presentation looked nice, but honestly it felt more like plain prata with just a bit of egg. Still enjoyable, and I liked that they had self‑service curry, even though walking over to the station felt a little risky with the slippery floor. My mom had the Double Maggie Goreng. Portion was decent, pretty simple since I didn’t add extras, but still good. Service really stood out. The waiter seemed new, but he was super respectful and greeted everyone warmly when they came in. That kind of kindness makes a big difference, so I hope they keep it up. Overall I’d give it around 7.5/10. Worth checking out if you’re craving prata or goreng dishes!

Such a banger meal we had. We ordered 1 fish Sambal, 1 butter chicken, 2 pratas for 2 people and realized the food was so good, we had to order 1 more curry Fish biryani to finish the meal. The woman at the counter and the staff were just extremely nice and graceful to us even though there was a line after us. (we were Vietnamese and for a moment, our international online payment method didnt work properly) The meat and fish were well seasoned, the rice was fragrant and the prata were super flaky and soft at the same time. It was awesome because we made this out-of-the-blue stop on our way to the zoo and try this restaurant just by chance. Would definitely come back again on our next visit. Michelin finally delivered!

I've been to many Indian restaurants but this definitely takes the cake for one of my favourite restaurants to go to. For my order, I ordered the chicken murtabak, butter chicken biryani, prata, and curry chicken, which I ate with my family. The crowd was alright, there was quite a bit and we only had to wait a little for a seat. The place was well decorated, with nice air conditioning (great on the rainy day I went) and had a pretty nice atmosphere. The taste of the food was splendid, with the rose milk (or Bandung) adding a grey touch to handle the spice (which there is A LOT). My only qualms are that there's sometimes not enough space, and that the ice lemon tea had no sweetness...at all but honest mistakes, we're all humans and I had a great time there too. They also had SELF SERVICE CURRY, that's definitely a first and something I'd love to see in my restaurants, so bravo! I went here on my brother's birthday (1 May) and safe to say, I'll definitely come again! ✌️

The plain prata is thicker than the one I had a few years ago. That time, it was very thin and crispy. Now it’s still crispy but thicker, just like what you get from other prata stalls. Of course, it’s crispy and delicious here. The milk tea is also better than last visit. Probably it’s a different person who prepares the drink now. Amazingly the egg prata is also quite crispy although the shape is rectangular instead of the usual round shape you see in other places. They provide 2 types of curry gravy. Personally I prefer the fish curry to the chicken curry.

The prata here is exceptionally crispy—each bite offers that satisfying shattered-pastry sound that many prata lovers dream of. Personally, I tend to lean towards a more doughy, chewy style of prata, so while these were technically very well-made, they didn't quite hit my "best ever" list. However, for anyone who prioritizes that golden, flaky exterior, these are undeniably top-tier. The set came with unlimited self serving of fish curry, which was pleasant and well-balanced, though it leans towards a mildly spicy profile. For those who, like me, prefer their curry to be a fiery, mouth-numbing experience, this version might feel a bit tame. That said, it’s a very accessible flavor that won't overwhelm those with a lower spice tolerance, and it complements the crispy prata without masking its taste. One of the biggest draws of this particular outlet is that the restaurant is air-conditioned. It makes the dining experience clean and comfortable, especially during a hot Singapore afternoon. It’s a great place to hang out and have a long chat without breaking a sweat. It seems they take their time to ensure that every prata comes out perfectly crisp, so don't come here if you're in a massive rush. However, the wait is justified once that hot, crackling plate hits the table. ISpringleaf is a breath of fresh air from the usual fiercely competitive prata market because they’ve carved out such a specific identity for themselves. Even if it isn't the absolute "best" I've ever had, I still really love the prata here and would highly recommend it for a solid, reliable meal in a great environment!

Been here a few times after my run. Have been trying different items in menu, and variations also. I must say the prata, thosai, uthappam are really nice... Curries provided are wonderful as well, with fish and chicken curries self-served. Only gripe perhaps was the coffee - could be thicker. Like the Lassi however. Staff is friendly too. Can be crowded with army personnel during lunch time.

Nice experience at Springleaf Prata Place. Food were freshly prepared thus served hot after cooking. Prata crispyness is there and the curry are all tasty and savoury too, so to my liking. Thumbs up to their service crew too for being friendly and courteous. Will visit again for sure!
