Motel Mexicola

Had a fantastic night at Mexicola Canggu! The atmosphere is lively, the music is great, and the venue has a fun, vibrant energy that keeps everyone in a good mood. The staff were friendly and well organized, and the whole place was clean and well maintained. It's a great spot to enjoy a night out with friends, dance, and soak up the amazing vibe. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it if you're looking for a fun night in Canggu.

This place was fantastic, such a great atmosphere with the music and dancing. The service and food were both excellent, there were too many good options so we ended up having a sample of a few options. The staff was all fantastic at keeping the amazing vibe and Wandi our server was always great at making sure food was brought out quickly and empty plates were cleared so we could get the next round of awesome tacos. This will be the place I recommend to anyone I know who will be in the area! Best tres leches cake I've ever had, it was so good I polished it off before getting a picture

We came to this Mexican restaurant after the gym as our post-workout meal, and honestly, it turned out to be such a fun surprise. We definitely didn’t expect to find such an authentic Mexican restaurant in Bali. The tacos were absolutely delicious — we each ordered a full set, and our favorites were definitely the shrimp taco and the braised beef taco. Both were packed with flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. The atmosphere also really stood out. The restaurant has a very lively Mexican vibe, and there was even a live guitarist performing during dinner, which made the whole experience feel even more immersive and enjoyable. We also loved the dessert — the churros were amazing, especially dipped into the caramel sauce or paired with the hot chocolate. Such a perfect ending to the meal. If you’re visiting Bali, I’d highly recommend setting aside a lunch or dinner here. It’s a really memorable experience, especially because it’s rare to find Mexican food this authentic while traveling in Bali.

Horrible stuff. We were so excited to try out here as Mexican lovers, but didn’t know it was so rowdy even around 7. While they advertise themselves as a restaurant, we had our bags checked like a club and had to leave our whole bag with the clerk outside. We went inside, and the music and shouting was so loud, I couldn’t converse at all albeit being put in a spot away from the chaos. We ordered around 6 small tacos, piña colada, 2 soft drinks, and an arroz con leche that came to near 900k idr. This morning, both my partner and I woke up with serious stomach pain and a case of bali belly from what we think are the tacos, 5 of which came out after less than 2 minutes of ordering which could have not been fresh. We will dissuade any of our friends from coming here - my stomach has never felt worse.

Hands down the best Mexican food I have ever had! Worth traveling from wherever in the island you are staying to try this food. The vibes are also great, staff are super friendly and helpful (one of the Australian guys helped us decipher the menu 😂). Food and drinks also came out super fast even though the restaurant was packed. 10/10 recommended trying this place, you wont be disappointed!

Had a really enjoyable time here. We ordered two jugs of cocktails, the frozen margarita and El Mango. The frozen margarita was especially good and I would definitely recommend it. The cochinita quesadilla was great too. We also tried the churros, which were okay and came with a nice chocolate sauce. We didn’t eat much because we came here after dinner. The vibe of the place is great. Before 10pm, people are mostly sitting, talking, and enjoying the music. After 10pm the DJ starts and the place becomes more like a party. We came on a night when the DJ setlist was really good, which made the experience even more fun. Even though we visited during the off-peak season, the place was still quite packed. The atmosphere was lively and fun. The staff were also great, they kept checking in on us and were very engaging. There is a minimum spend if you want to sit in the main area. If you sit in the further area, there is no minimum as long as you order food or drinks. One thing to note is that the tax percentage changes from 10% to 15% after 10:30pm. There is also no parking nearby, but valet service is available. Overall, it was a great place to hang out and enjoy the night.

After a 10 mile bike ride through beautiful Bali, we were ready to relax and stumbled upon MÉXICOLA in Seminyak and honestly, I was impressed. For being so far from home, the Mexican food was actually really good! The micheladas were delicious, the live band fit the vibe of the restaurant perfectly, and the whole atmosphere was lively and fun. Great customer service from start to finish. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to next time we travel to Seminyak!

Motel Mexicola in Seminyak absolutely lived up to the hype. Portions sizes were on point, not too big or small, and the menu had plenty of options that ensured we all got something we were craving. What really makes this place stand out though is the atmosphere. The venue is colourful, energetic, and fun from the moment you walk in, with music and a lively crowd that gives it that classic Seminyak night out vibe. Even though it’s busy, the place feels well run and the energy is more exciting than overwhelming. Service was friendly and efficient, and the staff kept things moving without making us feel rushed. It’s the kind of spot that works whether you’re going with friends for a fun dinner, starting a night out, or just want somewhere that feels a bit special compared to the usual options. Overall: great food, great vibe, and a memorable experience. I’d happily come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Seminyak who wants a meal with an amazing atmosphere.
