Ever wanted to know what it’s like to go to a super villains’ lair? Located in what feels like a remote luxury part of Indonesia is a restaurant in Bali unlike any other. A unique culinary experience where it feels like this whole night is just for you. This is the Cave. Even before you enter the dining room floor you are invited to their lounge to relax and enjoy yourselves. With posh styling and velvet on the walls, this feels luxurious in all the right ways. A drink while looking over the pool gives you James Bond vibes. As you make your way to the restaurant you descend the stairs into a whole new world. The name of the restaurant isn’t just for theming; you are actually walking into a small cave. With intricate details everywhere, once you sit down and look up it’s hard not to feel immersed in their presentation. And the multi course meal they’re preparing for you is one that delights all the senses. Starting off like all good meals is their bread and butter. Literally. There’s has deep umami flavors as truffles have been mixed within the butter. As you continue through the dinner course you’ll receive items that are beautifully crafted, visually stunning, adventurous in nature, and definitely hard to pronounce. One of my favorite items was this Scallop Ajo Blanco. They combine the freshness of the sea with the sweetness of the land partnering Hokkaido scallops, almonds, and a muscat grape. It’s light without being vapid. Another favorite was their wagyu dish. With a rich consommé poured over in stunning fashion this dish was rich and decadent without being gluttonous. Thank goodness the portions were just right. Finishing up the meal are their desserts. The olive oil sorbet has yuzu, thyme, and gin to give a light sweet note at the end of the meal while the lemon tart has a light, citrus meringue on top of orange cake and lemon curd. Both wonderful palate cleansers and whimsical to enjoy. Coming to the Cave is a special occasion that takes you away from the world and places you center into a culinary universe. With so many wonders to enjoy, I guess super villains know how to party after all.

Dining at The Cave in Bali was one of the most memorable restaurant experiences I've had. Super expensive though, over $200 pp, and took over an hour of driving to get to the destination. The setting alone is incredible. Having dinner inside a natural cave creates a unique atmosphere that feels both intimate and adventurous. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you're about to experience something special rather than just another meal. The food was excellent throughout the evening, with each course beautifully presented and packed with flavour. The attention to detail was impressive, and you could tell a lot of thought had gone into both the menu and the overall dining experience. you can also explore the cave with hard hats. What makes The Cave stand out is that it's more than just a restaurant,it's an experience. The combination of the stunning cave setting, creative presentation, and high-quality food makes the meal feel genuinely memorable and unlike anywhere else I've dined. The staff were attentive and professional, helping the evening flow smoothly while allowing guests to enjoy the unique surroundings at their own pace.

We came here for a date night and honestly the setting alone made it memorable. Dining inside a real natural cave is something you don't get to experience very often. The cave itself is beautiful, and knowing it's not man-made makes it feel even more special. The restaurant is very small with only 22 seats, so it feels intimate and quiet. We enjoyed taking our time through the courses while soaking in the atmosphere around us. Foodwise, there were some dishes we loved more than others, but overall the experience was about much more than just the meal. It's one of those places that you'll probably remember because of how unique the setting is. Definitely a special evening and unlike any other restaurant we've been to in Bali.

The Menu is so unique and creative but still tasty for me as non gastronomic person. The service also great but will be nicer if the server only serving few table, so they can talk or more in touch with the guest…. Since the table is not that much, will be fantastic if the chef can come to greet the guest for more memorable experience 😄 Also you can put a history behind the cave instead just a lights shows with no explaination (just my feedback) because the price is high so the quality of the experience must be in high expectation too, so the guest will not getting disappointed.

We absolutely love the experience. The staff that looked after us, Eni and Nila Were attentive and determined to give us a five star experience. They were interactive yet gave us the space to enjoy our dining without interruption. They explained each course with detail and knowledge of what we were about to experience and overall provided us with exceptional service. The food was amazing with each course full of flavour that was unique to each plate and not overlapping in taste. We came hungry looking forward to our dining experience and left highly satisfied and very happy with the food and service we experienced.

From the moment you descend into the subterranean space, the vibe is unique and the service is absolutely top-tier. The culinary experience is a journey of unique blends, showcasing a masterclass in balance between flavor and texture. Every course felt intentional and high-end. That said, I did have two minor notes for fellow travelers: * **The Menu:** The food is objectively incredible, though it leans heavily into a classic international tasting menu style. While the execution is flawless, I found myself wishing for a bit more local Asian flare to ground the experience in its Indonesian setting; at times, the flavors felt like something you might find in a high-end spot in Europe or Australia. * **The Beef:** The only slight miss of the evening was the beef au poivre. The pepper was so overwhelming that the natural flavor of the meat was lost, which was a shame given the quality of the other dishes. **Pro-Tip:** While the restaurant itself is a 10/10 recommendation, do yourself a favor and get ready at your hotel or elsewhere before you arrive. The adjacent day club was not at all accommodating for pre-dinner preparations, and it's much better to arrive at The Cave already relaxed and dressed for the occasion. Overall, a must-visit for the ambiance and the majority of the incredible menu!

This has got to be the most unique, beautiful and best tasting menu I have ever tried in the world. When I first came to Bali in November from Canada I was recommended to check it out by a friend but didn’t have enough time so I told myself when I came back my husband and I would book here and were so happy we did. From the beautiful interior of the natural cave to all the little touches and the short light shows it was a very magical experience. The ambiance in the cave alone was worth the dining experience and there was a nice AC air that comes out from behind the seats. All drinks here are pretty expensive but we ended up getting a bottle of Chianti for $60 CAD and the overall dining experience in total for two people, wine and water was around $550CAD but something like this back home would have cost double as it’s a unique 7 course menu. Everything is expertly crafted on the menu, presentation is beautifully done and all garnishes were perfect. The foie gras was a tad too salty for my taste but would likely blend well with the eclair if I was a fan of sweet and salty mixed. This is a must see/do when here in Bali as it’s like no other experience you will have anywhere else. Highly recommend it!

lovely place to try for a date night or fancy family dinner. definitely recommend reserving in advance and arriving early. don’t arrive too early though as they instructed otherwise they will sit you in the lounge and try to money grab you for drinks. the drinks themselves are good, whereas the food is just ok. some of the smallest fine dining portions i’ve ever had and not all that great. some plates were very nice, others just ok. not very indonesian though. service inside is friendly and attentive. views are of course very cool. you can wear hard hats and explore the smaller cave during the intermission. the acts are kinda boring as the projections are so low quality lol. it’s also freezing inside and they offer you blankets. the resort itself is very beautiful though.
