Tai Seng Fish Soup @ Novena Square 2

Sliced fish soup ($6.30) Rice/ noodles ($1) (separately chargeable) + The broth is clean-tasting, light yet flavorful, and comforting. The fragrant egg floss adds richness to the soup. - SMALL portion relative to price. Someone received only 2 pieces of fried fish in a medium $9.20 soup !! Doesn't match the signboard picture at all !! - Soup base seems diluted compared to the original Taman Jurong branch. - No toppings = Somewhat limited seating, especially during peak hours. Thankfully customer flow is fast as most are during lunch break or rushing home after a quick dinner. - Tables seems smaller than normal. - No more staff discount for Tan Tock Seck Hospital staff !!

Food tastes fine, but have encountered twice that the order is not correct, asking for with milk and thick beehoon but getting thin bee hoon. Seems to have a breakdown in communication between customer and cashier, and also cashier and chef.

I have long heard of the legendary Tai Seng Fish soup. Hence was absolutely looking forward to trying it out at the Hawker’s Street food court at Novena. Pity it was underwhelming. Soup lacked flavour. In fact, i could only mostly taste the rice flour flavour that came from the thick vermicelli in the soup. At such quality, I believe almost every other fish soup joint will be able to trump it.

So far the worst fish soup i have eaten in my whole life. This is just plain hot water with ingredients.

Only 2 small piece of Raw fish and 2 small piece of fried fish . Not worth the money

Ordered 2 sets today for takeaway. One with Bee Hoon and the other with rice. Unfortunately no rice was found when we got home. Super disappointed.

The fish soup was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the taste was excellent! 👍👍
