As full-time travelers behind our Sunsets & Speakeasies YouTube channel, cafés become much more than places to grab coffee. They’re our offices, meeting places, and sometimes where unexpected friendships begin. Lu Coffee in Da Nang has been one of those places for me for years, and whenever I travel back through the city, I find myself returning. Da Nang has what feels like a million coffee shops, but Lu Coffee remains one of my favorites. It has a warm, comfortable aesthetic, cozy seating, and jazz playing in the background—the kind of atmosphere where you can settle in with your laptop and suddenly realize you’ve been productive for hours. There are even apartments for rent upstairs, which makes the whole place feel particularly suited to travelers settling into Da Nang for a while. What really keeps me coming back, though, is the people. The staff are incredible and actually remember you when you return. Over the years, I’ve also met other like-minded digital nomads here who have gone on to become genuinely great friends. That’s something you can’t manufacture with cool décor and good coffee. Whether you need a comfortable spot to knock out a few hours of remote work or simply want to slow down with a coffee and some jazz, Lu Coffee delivers. For me, it’s become part of the rhythm of returning to Da Nang. Stop by Lu Coffee. You might end up staying longer than you planned. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely loved this place! The location is perfect, the atmosphere is amazing, and the café itself is beautifully designed. Everything is clean, stylish, and comfortable, making it a great place to relax, meet friends, or simply enjoy some quality coffee. The coffee was excellent — fresh, smooth, and perfectly prepared. The staff were friendly, professional, and welcoming. Overall, everything was on point, from the location and interior to the service and coffee. Definitely a place I would visit again. Nice, clean, and tidy coffee spot. Quiet and not busy. You can work well on your laptop here. I was here almost every day, waking up in the morning with good coffee. A cappuccino was about €2. There is a restroom available. The staff is friendly and helpful. The design of this coffee shop is beautiful and it has a bit of a library vibe. There are various seating options, and you can work quietly, but also just relax and catch up. No loud music and the atmosphere is peaceful.

It is a cafe with a nice atmosphere. It has an antique style and jazz bar-like interior, and you can see wonderful classic photos on the walls. However, I do not recommend the brewing coffee. The espresso menu is just so-so. The grinder appears to be a refurbished product from the Taiwanese brand Feima Design. Simply put, it is a low-cost home cafe grinder under 100,000 won. It is a good cafe for those looking for decent coffee and a cafe with a nice atmosphere.

I have loved Lu for over a year, how have I never left a review?! I’m ashamed. It deserves a million 5-stars from me for all the lattes (with almond milk!) and coconuts and coconut americanos I’ve inhaled here. This is by far my favorite spot to focus up and work. The soft music is perfection, the place has never once been too loud, it’s so comfy with a perfectly open-but-private ambiance, and THE PEOPLE! Guys… listen to me. The BEST staff right here. So professional, great English (not that this should ever be required or expected, it’s just impressive), incredibly warm and kind and absolutely on top of everything. Best of the best. The decor is laid-back with soul. Wish I could share better photos. Why haven’t I taken proper, good pictures of the details?! I suck. Okay so, imagine — dark wood, muted tones with bursts of color, warm lighting, greenery lining the place and peeking through the back window, cool art and books around, just enough daylight, fresh flowers… I’d call it tasteful simplicity that’s been thought out super well. And! WiFi always rolling. Everything always clean. Drinks always delicious. Okay I’ve said too much. Don’t want Lu getting too popular, I need my fav seat to be available. Thank you for everything, Lu team! ♥️

Was looking for a cozy spot to relax and have a coffee, but unfortunately, the drink itself didn't quite hit the mark. I usually order an oat milk cappuccino, and this one was barely warm. The coffee flavor was so weak I could barely taste it. On the bright side, the atmosphere is really nice and chill, and the staff is super friendly. But as for the coffee it’s just not for me.
