Lighthouse

In Japanese, there is the idea of awai—the space or boundary between one world and another—and to me, lighthouses are perhaps the best representation of that liminal world. A lighthouse stands between land and sea, danger and safety, light and darkness, storm and clear weather, isolation and society. It belongs completely to neither side, but somehow exists in both at once. That is part of what has always drawn me to lighthouses. I feel comfortable in that in-between world, perhaps because I have never really felt that I completely fit into either of the worlds on the other side. There is something familiar to me about standing at a boundary, looking in both directions, belonging a little to each side but entirely to neither. Well that being said, you have a very nice menu here and I wish I was spending more time in Danang to sample some of it. I just didn't see you until the day before I was leaving. I want to be with you again sometime soon. Please wait for me.

I really enjoyed my visit to Lighthouse. This place feels more ambitious than a typical café because it combines specialty coffee, a roastery, bakery items, and a proper all-day food menu in one large space. It is located at 12 Dương Đình Nghệ in Sơn Trà and has become a very popular café in Đà Nẵng, with more than 1,700 Google reviews. The space was probably the first thing that impressed me. The high ceilings, exposed brick, metal details, and multiple seating levels give it a strong industrial character while still feeling comfortable and welcoming. There is plenty of natural light, and the overall layout makes the café feel open rather than crowded. The coffee was also genuinely good. Lighthouse is known for specialty coffee and has its own roastery, so there is much more attention to the coffee itself than at an average brunch café. I liked that the drink had a clean, balanced flavour and was prepared carefully rather than simply relying on sweetness. The food selection is another reason to come. The menu covers breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, with items such as eggs Benedict, burgers, avocado toast, pastries, salads, and other European-style dishes. This makes it easy to come for a full meal rather than just coffee. Service was friendly and organised during my visit, and the large space made the whole experience feel relaxed even with other customers around. Overall, Lighthouse is a strong choice if you want good specialty coffee, proper food, and one of the more impressive café spaces in Đà Nẵng. I would happily return for both brunch and coffee.

The best breakfast spot! 🥐☕️ Of course, it’s not only a breakfast place, but we came here for breakfast and were super satisfied! 😍 The choice and prices were insane. I still don’t understand how you can get such good food for such low prices 😂 Everything we tried was really good. The scrambled eggs with salmon were delicious, the grilled sandwich with tomato soup dip was 🤤, the French toast was good, and the matcha lava cake was absolutely fabulous 💚🍵 The place itself is beautiful and has such a nice atmosphere ✨ The coffee was great too, so this one is definitely recommended! ❤️

There is hits and misses for breakfast and this is a MISS. To start the menu is confusing and you have a line up of confused people at a register to order. I count 11 staff and some how they still look at me stupid when I ask for napkins, fork and knife, sugar, meanwhile my food is ice cold. Eggs Benny cold and hollandaise came with a film on the top. Then find out they decided to put their version of BIG MAC burger sauce on it. 🤮 Cheese Danish with berry jam took 10 minutes to go from the box to by table, was supposed to be hot… was not. Staff laughing and joking around while people’s coffees and food is getting cold on the counter. Explains why eveything is cold. LIKE MY PHOTO, someone’s coffee getting cold while 5 staff joke and laugh. If the owner needs help on how to make this place function properly, he/she should message and I’ll show them. Till then I would never walk back in this place. DONT EAT HERE. 7/10 price 1/10 staff 2/10 food 10/10 location 0/10 business knowledge

This place is more of a restaurant than a cafe. I ordered a 180k VND hand drip coffee, but the coffee tasted almost like water. I was truly surprised that they brewed such watery coffee using expensive Ditting Lapsweet beans. The biggest problem with this cafe is that they aren't using a coffee cellar. And considering the beans cost 180k VND, they are barely managing them. Nearby Mew Coffee manages its beans well and brews coffee tailored to the customer's preferences. Also, the popular Every Half uses a cellar for all orders over 90k VND. I came to a specialty coffee shop to enjoy the aroma, not just to drink caffeine. But they brewed beans that had already lost all their aroma, and it tasted like water. It was a waste of time and money, and on top of that, it left me feeling terrible. On top of that, the barista was slightly unfriendly and didn't seem to care about the customer's reaction, so I was in a very bad mood. There are many other cafes in Da Nang that are delicious and friendly, besides this one. I will briefly summarize them for you. Please refer to this list and try visiting some great cafes. The list below is based entirely on my personal preferences and is subjective. This may differ from the facts. Group A includes Hoi An Every Half, Mew Coffee, Oslow Coffee, Minh Brew Coffee, Zi Coffee, XL III Coffee (43 Factory Coffee). Group B includes Ala Coffee, Harmony Coffee, Passport Coffee, a-Kopitar, O2O First Roast... Among these, O2O First Roast is unique; as of today, even with a home coffee grinder, you can brew coffee that tastes much better than this. Have a wonderful trip to Da Nang!

I was looking for a cafe near my accommodation and visited this place because I liked the reviews. The coffee tasted good, and the atmosphere was nice. Although it was crowded, the space was spacious, so I wasn't disturbed and it was a great place to sit and read a book. True to its name, "Lighthouse," I really liked the paintings hanging on the wall. However, while water bottles and cups were provided, the staff didn't take any action even though the bottles were left open, and the cups smelled. (They smelled because they were stacked without being properly dried.)

If I could give the food 6 stars I would !! I got the Mont Blanc cold brew and the blueberry cheese danish pastry and wow … I’m a big cafe fan but this was next level . The building is a converted industrial style building with an airy open vibe . Contrary to other reviews I really liked the fact it’s a coworking space it felt like a university library and is perfect for people watching if you grab a window seat also! As it is high quality food and drink it does get busy but I would highly recommended this place if your in da nang and you love coffee and pastries ! The ordering system is the only thing that stands out to me as perhaps in need of improvement but I only say this as if they had a QR ordering system this lovely buissness could have a higher turnover of customers and sell more of their lovely food and drink . This would also take the pressure of having to order at the counter as soon as you enter ! 💪💞
