Geylang 29 Charcoal Fried Hokkien Mee

Out of the many Hokkien Mee shops, I chose this one today! They have sizes $7, $10, $15... but I went with the $10. After paying, you're given a tag and told to come back in 10 minutes. The size is about a large portion for one person. It had five shrimp. The thinner of the two types of noodles was extremely thin rice vermicelli. The flavor was just right. Thank you for the meal! 🙏🙏

I dont even know if this is HKM at this point. Theres a weird aftertaste and its wet. I had it with 8 people and all 8 agreed this wasnt up to standard. Im never ordering here again. To add on it was $7 which is so much higher than all the other stores nearby....

semi-wet version of HKM featuring a strong flavour of wok hei $10 version came with 4 prawns and was good to share between 2 people (assuming you’re ordering other food as well) they did underestimate the wait time (10 min) as i had to wait a little longer than expected

Worst HKM! Super burnt noodles with zero flavour!

Very weird aftertaste and no flavor depth. Couldn't tell it was hokkien mee lack of flavor. Only thing evident was the wok hei.

05/November/2025 Had fried hokkien mee ($7) for dinner, was good. Long queue cleared relatively fast. Ingredients was fresh.

Long Wait , Definitely not the same as the Lor 29 one but passable . Can eat if you have a craving but if you here there are better dishes to be had
