Bikini Bottom Express

Hands down the best burger I have had at a restaurant no contest. The several times we went while staying in Da Nang I had the burger, while my partner had a few other menu items which were also fantastic. Staff were amazing and food came out very quickly, all delivered with a smile. They make their own buns and patties and it definitely shows in the final result. We were seated immediately, however they do seem to have quite busy periods which may make it tricky for larger groups but the staff are very helpful and accommodating. Amazing and when we come back to Vietnam in the future I will make sure our route takes us back past this restaurant. 🍔🍟🎉

One of the best burgers we’ve ever had! We’ve been to many burger places in Canada & the US but this place is definitely something special. We ordered the Bikini Bottom Burger, Truffle burger, Montreal poutine, and a Coke Zero with the total coming out to just under $20 CAD. The burgers were juicy and had a good amount of sauce to them without being too greasy. The standout was the Truffle burger and the truffle sauce was excellent. There was a good amount of gravy in the poutine and the cheese is on the stretchier side - not the classic squeaky one that we are used to in Canada, but still good nonetheless. Overall, we would definitely recommend and come back in the future.

If you think Bikini Bottom Express is just another burger place, you might be surprised. Tucked away in Da Nang’s An Thuong area, this spot combines a fun atmosphere with some seriously satisfying comfort food. The SpongeBob-inspired theme gives the restaurant its own personality without feeling gimmicky, and the moment you walk in, it feels more like a place created by people who genuinely enjoy food than a typical fast-food restaurant. The smash burgers are what first caught my attention, but the menu goes far beyond that. The portions are generous, the ingredients taste fresh, and everything arrives quickly. What I liked most is that it feels equally suitable for a quick lunch, a relaxed dinner, or a late meal after exploring Da Nang. The restaurant is located in one of the city's most popular beachside neighborhoods, making it an easy stop before or after a walk along My Khe Beach. The atmosphere is friendly, the staff are welcoming, and the whole place has the kind of energy that makes you want to stay a little longer than planned. A great find for anyone looking for good food, good vibes, and a memorable break from traditional tourist restaurants.

A true style bakery experience! From the moment we walked in, we loved the elegant atmosphere and the fresh aroma of baked goods. The croissants were buttery, flaky, and absolutely delicious, and the breakfast selection was excellent. Everything—from the pastries and coffee to the cozy ambiance was outstanding. If you’re in Da Nang and looking for an authentic bakery this place is definitely worth a visit!

Unfortunately, hygiene issues are already quite common in Vietnam in general. However, for a place with such high ratings, this one felt quite sticky and poorly maintained. The metal parts of the decoration were rusty, and the walls and floors did not seem properly cleaned at all. In terms of taste, the two dishes we ordered were both quite delicious. Burgers are also very tasty. The prices were also very affordable. The fresh juices were especially very good, and the staff members were polite and kind. Still, for a place with such high reviews and ratings, it definitely needs to be much cleaner.

This burger spot is an absolute gem. The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right definitely some of the best I’ve had in a while. What really surprised me was how reasonable the drink prices are, which makes it even easier to sit back and enjoy a full meal without worrying about the bill. We came here multiple times on our stay and tried all their cocktails and boozy shakes! And the fries? An absolute must-try. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned they’re the kind you can’t stop eating. If you’re craving a satisfying burger with great sides and good value, this place is well worth checking out.

Double fried fries are soggy and lukewarm. Smash burger is more like streamed burgers with some char. Can not seem to find any burger joint that actually can do a smash burger. Considering how popular this chain seems to be with tourists I thought it would be good - it’s mid at best. If you’re craving a burger this is not it. If you’re hungry and just need something familiar, I guess this is an option 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ Also the “skillet” the food comes in - it’s plastic Update: feeling kinda sick like I’m gonna throw up. I don’t think I should have eaten the fries. I ate about 1/4 and I’m feeling nauseous Update 2: back at airbnb - threw up - the burger i would give 3-4/5 if you think if it JUST a burger, NOT a smash burger - the fries i would give -5/5. i should have known NOT to eat it when i saw how soggy and lukewarm it was and how after just a few bites it seemed off. i was hungry and thought i'd be fine - but now i am very much regretting it. - avoid the fries at all cost.

We visited Bikini Bottom Express in Da Nang for breakfast and ended up staying for brunch – and what a great find it was! My partner had the burger, which he said was absolutely amazing, and I had the best mango kombucha I’ve ever tasted – genuinely unforgettable. The menu is varied and really well thought out, with something for everyone whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The setting is lovely, the service was friendly and attentive, and they also offer a great selection of cocktails. It’s the kind of place you can easily relax and spend a few hours. We’ll definitely be returning – highly recommended!
