Ordered the $2.80 laksa My rating: 2.5/5: Average 5/5: A must-try TLDR: 4.25/5 This laksa is more my style, and i can see myself coming back for it at Ghim Moh. As noted, the bowl was $2.8, its a small portion which is good for breakfast, maybe the larger bowl is better for lunch. The uncle taking orders seems fierce but can joke with you haha. He asks: - eat here or take away - large or small - want cockles or not - more or less chilli The laksa gravy is more of my style as it is smoother. Other more famous places boil it until the milk clumps and has the sandy texture of 叻沙. Some might then argue i am not eating laksa but light curry beehoon. It really is not the same but at least i can say i enjoy my food. Back to the laksa, it was rich and flavorful, very creamy, i won’t say milky because the soup did seem fairly thick to me. The base flavour is not that spicy which you then stir the chilli into the soup to add the spice, but i was perfectly comfortable with the base flavour. The noodles were nicely cut so most can fit onto the soup, but still be careful in case it drops and stains the shirt. Overall, it was a quick and affordable laksa fix for me, i will come back again.

Been wanting to try this laksa for a long time and finally got the chance to. $2.80 for a small bowl is really value for money but unfortunately the laksa gravy is too watery for my liking. Also said I didn’t want cockles but the uncle still added it in, which is fine cos I can just pick it out. The uncle at the counter taking orders is also lowkey very fierce but heard him joking with other customers after me so maybe he’s friendly with regulars.

Laksa got a nice balanced flavor

Stall had a short queue and an inviting decor that caught my eye. The atmosphere was vibrant yet casual, perfect for a quick bite. I decided to try their laksa, and I was amazed at how affordable it was. A small bowl costs only $2.80, which is quite hard to believe for such a popular dish. The laksa was served with my choice of noodles, complemented by slices of fish cakes and bean sprouts. While it wasn’t a large portion, the flavors certainly packed a punch. The standout feature of this bowl was definitely the laksa gravy sauce. It was rich and flavorful, providing that authentic taste I was craving. Although the bowl was small and not overly filling, it satisfied my laksa cravings perfectly, allowing me to save room for other delicious offerings from nearby stalls. Overall, I highly recommend the Laksa Noodle Stall at Ghim Moh Food Market. It’s a humble yet satisfying option for anyone looking for a quick and affordable laksa fix.

Just nice - a small portioned bowl of laksa with thick bee hoon and some cockles, chilli and laksa leaves. Broth is light, sufficiently lemak, tasty but not too salty. Stall operator is friendly and has systematic order taking questions for customers who are not familiar. The stall also otah has optional add on. I noticed many regular customers getting their lunch packed and can see its popularity.

The portion size was quite small, but the flavor was very rich and delicious.

Today try this laksa, ask for big bowl without cockles, but nothing replaced it. The taste is a abit salty, my POV is not as good as known.

12 June 25’ My 1st experience having Laksa here, highly recommended, soup is creamy & tasty, serving $2.80 small. Or $4.80 bigger bowl, the boss give me extra chilli paste separately, so it allow to taste 👅 at different amount of chillies added, a very thoughtful of him. 👍👍
