The absolute star of the show is the Signature Popping Juice Pan Fried Bun (爆汁生煎包). Be warned, the name is literal! The juice explodes the moment you bite in. The staff had to remind us twice to be careful. The contrast between the crispy, golden bottom and the soft, bready skin is perfection. The filling is a wonderful balance of sweet and savoury. 🍝 Fried Noodle in Shanghai Style (上海肉丝炒面) uses chewy, la mian-style noodles. It’s a carb-heavy dish with a rich black sauce and generous chicken slices, definitely one to share with a friend! Don’t skip the 🥬 Stir-fried Cabbage with Pork and Dried Chilli (砂锅手撕包菜). It has a great wok hei although it’s on the oily/salty side, it’s so flavorful that even vegetable-haters will love it. Other Bites: 🥟 The Steamed Pork Xiao Long Bao (上海小笼包) were decent with tender meat, though the skin was a bit thick and I wished for more soup inside. 🥟 The Shrimp Shepherd’s Purse Wonton Soup (虾肉荠菜馄饨) is very substantial, though the filling is quite vegetable-forward and "flaky." 🐔 Drunken Chicken (上海醉鸡): A best-seller that is served cold. It has a strong rice wine aroma and tender slices, though the sauce was a bit too salty/sour for my personal preference

The food was amazing, I can’t believe there’s nobody in this shop! The Sheng Jian Pao is something my family would crave for since coming back from Shanghai. The Xiao Long Pao was great too, the soup in the dumplings was really sweet. Fried rice was abit oily, but it was so darn good as well. The pork noodle is perfect, the pork was so tender. The ginger and vinegar that goes with the dumplings were perfect too! I highly recommend if you need some quick fix for dinner, come visit this shop! They have lots of varieties and the prices are reasonable. Staff service are very efficient, the staffs really take care of the shop and maintained the cleanliness of the shop v well, even when there are not a lot of people, they are always cleaning the surfaces of the tables and chairs. I’m so happy dining here 🙇🏻♀️😛

I have been patronising this restaurant frequently for a number of years now, the quality of the food has been consistently good. Items recommended for single diners like myself include 生煎包, the shape is different from other dumpling shops in Singapore, and is very much like Yang’s dumpling, 小杨生煎 from shanghai. The 大排面 is good too, not too sure how they make the noodles but the texture is much nicer than other shops, bundled together with a meaty pork chop. Price wise is okay, they regularly run promotions to stay competitive. Would recommend to a friend if he/she is in the clementi town vicinity.

I really enjoyed my meal here. Their signature sheng jian bao are freshly made, with a crispy golden bottom and soft, fluffy top. Each bun is juicy and flavorful, with rich broth that bursts in every bite—totally satisfying. The portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and service is efficient. It’s one of the best Shanghainese pan-fried buns I’ve had in Singapore. Highly recommended for anyone who loves juicy, crispy buns.

First time trying this place. To my surprise, the food are nice! I tried the zhajiang mian set lunch. Noodles just nice, not too springy, not too mushy. Just nice for my taste! Other dishes like she jian bao, Xiao hundun are delicious. Will come and try other dishes again!

Love the shepherd's purse bun - so fragrant and healthy. Everything is made daily, no pre-made stuff here.

Came here on CNY eve with mum. Surprised that this year, very few people came here for CNY dinner. Food was served fast, and taste was nice, esp the pork ribs and drunken chicken! I also found the tang yuan in fermented rice wine a special treat too. Nice portions for 2 people. Enjoyed the evening here indeed!!

My child loves the Shengjian bao and Xiao Long bao here, so much so that he always request to come here for dinner right after his training at Clementi stadium every week. Just take note while having them as they really 爆浆 lol. Hope to see more vegetable variety in the menu e.g. claypot eggplant.
