Sarah's Pancake

Located at the corner of the block, almost couldn't find it. I've been searching for good min jiang kueh, and I don't think the famous/popular chain with rave reviews is good (to be fair, some of my family/friends like it). I had the peanut one first, and I thought it was above average. The charcoal sesame was the one which blew me away. I enjoyed the nutty, crunchy and bittersweet taste of sesame. For once, sugar did not overpower sesame. The dough was also nice and chewy, instead of gooey/slimy. I noticed jars of peanut butter and sesame paste for sale. Will be getting those next time.

Sarah’s Pancake rivals Munchi Pancake very closely. But when it comes to the Matcha pancake, Sarah’s Pancake wins by a mile. The matcha is very fragrant and distinct from the first bite. It doesn’t overpower the red bean filling and instead complements it nicely. In comparison, Munchi’s Pancake green tea pancake is more muted, but the filling is slightly thicker, accentuating the red bean flavour. Pricing wise about the same, although some flavours are slightly more expensive (but still less than $2.50) Overall a very good experience! definitely recommend!

We had a couple of amazing pancakes - traditional and Matcha, we'd never tasted this type of pancake before. It was so nice that we went back another day for some more. Sarah was a wonderfully nice person too. Don't go to Singapore without trying Sarah's pancakes, they will not disappoint!

When i was still a young boy, my mom will oways buy tis traditional pancake at our local neighbour shops and by far, sara's pancake is one of the place tat give ur taste bud the most flavorful pancake palate tat brings u back to ur childhood memories wit their original peanut pancake .. so its nt somting u wanna miss ... most definitely gonna come back for a reminiscing relaxation . . .

Dropping by to buy before picking my kid from school. Luckily, the carpark and stall both no queue. Bought almost every of the flavours to try. First bite of the charcoal peanut pancake is so comforting (maybe I'm hungry), the pancake texture & softness are just nice. The peanut is not overly sweet and with a touch of saltiness. One of the nicest I pancake I've ever eat. Thank you!

I almost mistook them for Munchie Pancakes because of the similar menu. I got a peanut one ($1.80) to try anyway, and immediately I could tell the difference. This one has a softer texture yet retains chewiness, and the fillings are overflowing. I will definitely stop by to try other fillings if I'm in the area again.

Absolutely smashing matcha red bean min jang kueh! The red bean paste was smooth and full of flavour but the matcha didn’t lose out but complemented the filling. Must try it you’re around the corner!

Love all the flavours especially, peanut, red bean and kaya. Didn’t like coconut as it isn’t “ sweet” enough. Will go back again to try the rest!
