LiXin Teochew Fishball Noodles - Orchard ION

Had to try Li Xin Teochew Fishball Noodles after hearing mixed reviews, and honestly, I loved it! Some people say it’s overrated, but for me, it completely lived up to the hype. The noodles were flavorful, the soup was comforting, and the star of the show was definitely the fishballs. They were incredibly fresh, bouncy, and perfectly chewy!! I especially appreciated how simple yet satisfying the whole dish was. Nothing overly fancy, just quality ingredients done really well. If you’re a fan of fishballs, this place is absolutely worth a try. I would happily come back again just for those chewy fishballs alone! 🍜🐟✨💕

One of the best fishball noodle spots in Singapore, especially if you’re craving a comforting local meal while shopping around Orchard Road. The fishballs at Li Xin really stand out — fresh, springy, and packed with flavour without tasting overly processed. The noodles were well seasoned and the soup had that classic clean Teochew-style flavour that feels simple but very satisfying. Portions were decent, prices were reasonable considering the ION Orchard location, and service moved quite efficiently even during busy meal hours. Love love love the fresh pork lard. What I liked most was that the food still retained a very authentic local hawker taste despite being located inside a shopping mall. It’s a great option for tourists wanting to try Singapore fishball noodles in a comfortable environment, or locals looking for a reliable quick meal in town. Definitely one of the better places in Orchard for traditional Singapore fishball noodles and local comfort food.

*Teochew Fishball Noodles* at ION Orchard — honestly a must-eat every time I’m in Singapore (and yes, they’ve got Michelin ⭐). The fishballs and fish dumplings are SO good — super fresh, bouncy, and naturally sweet. The soup is light but flavorful with that clean sweetness, and the fishballs have that perfect chewy bite. Go for dried mee pok, you’ll get crispy pork lard bits mixed in‍. Highly recommend ordering it dry — way more shiok. Only SGD 8.80 for a full bowl with noodles, fishballs, and fish dumplings — seriously worth it.. 😋

It was the weekend, yet surprisingly there was no queue. Still, I decided to give it a shot. Most of the staff are youngsters now, definitely not the same crew as before. The noodle portion is generous. But honestly, that’s about it. The dish was lacking in every other way; flavor was bland, noodles were overly soft, and there was barely any sauce. Even the fishballs don’t taste like they used to. If you're craving the original standard, I'd suggest trying another branch, like the one at MBS. Hopefully that one still tastes the way it should. PS: I can't even finish it. It was horrible

Singapore speed-run: food, friends & a little retail therapy Had the absolute best time doing a full-on foodie marathon through Singapore with my lovely bestie, Grace ; honestly the best kind of travel is when you’re just eating your way through the city with someone who knows all the good spots. First stop: LiXin Teochew Fishball Noodles at ION Orchard—one of Mama Gigi’s (an Indonesian celebrity) favourites apparently, so expectations were high 😄 The fishballs absolutely delivered: bouncy, springy, and super satisfying. The broth was more on the mild side, and the noodles didn’t quite steal the show for me, but Grace insists there are even better hidden gems around Singapore… so I’m officially ready for part two of this mission. Bonus points for location (hello Orchard Road shopping after carbs) and for the kind of company that makes even “just okay” food feel like a great memory.

An absolute must-try when visiting Singapore! This is hands down one of the most iconic dishes to eat in Singapore, especially at LiXin in ION Orchard. The noodles are chewy, the sauce is bold and flavorful, with a spicy kick that keeps you coming back. A true comfort food and something I’d happily eat again and again. Highly recommended. . Wajib banget kalau ke Singapura! Ini menurut saya makanan paling wajib dicoba di Singapura, khususnya LiXin di ION Orchard. This is definitely one of my must-try signature dishes when visiting Singapore, especially at LiXin in ION Orchard. The noodles are springy and chewy, the sauce is rich and flavorful, and the spiciness is incredibly satisfying and addictive—a truly comforting meal. We used to have home made fish ball, usually filled in by minced pork meat or from some Chinese restaurants in Indonesia. Thus we automatically compare this to the one we used to have as the standard. I’m sorry but it’s difficult to find any special taste. It’s not bad. Both the noodle and the fish ball are okay. But there’s a lot of noodle house and fish balls with the same taste or better back home. Or maybe I should try the noodle with tomato or chilly sauce. In the picture below is a dry (thin, my favorite type) noodle with fish balls. Service is okay, we could communicate with the cashier, but had a bit of difficulty with the aunty who served the soup (she was mumbling and unclear). We had difficulties to find a table as it is in a foodcourt. The place is a bit noisy too.
