Visited La Levain to collect their Flaky Spiral Teochew Mooncakes and also took the opportunity to try a few of their. Though it is just a small store, there are a variety of pastries to choose from. Teochew Mooncakes Tried the Teochew Black Sesame Hokkaido Milk with Mochi, Teochew Bobo Chacha Mochi, and Teochew Salted Egg Mooncake. The skin is really flaky and especially nice after air-frying. The flavours are interesting, and the addition of mochi gives the traditional Teochew mooncake a fun, modern twist that would probably appeal to younger customers. It would also be nice to see more traditional flavours available. Pastries • Sundried Tomato Focaccia – Very soft and fluffy. • Shio Pan – Crispy and fluffy without being oily, which I really enjoyed. • Crème Brûlée Egg Tart – The flaky crust is really good. • Kouign Amann – Breton Cake – Nice and buttery with a lovely pastry texture. • Pistachio Salted Caramel Cruffin – Enjoyed the combination of pistachio and salted caramel. Overall, I enjoyed trying the different flavours and textures. The pastries were generally well-executed, and I especially liked the flaky textures. Personally, I found some of the items a little on the sweeter/saltier side, so I would enjoy them even more if the overall sweetness and saltiness were slightly more balanced.

I purchased the mini momoyama cantonese moon cake for my client and he shared to me that he loved the lemon flavored moon cake. Will continue to support next year. Just a feedback that would be even better if the snow skin moon cakes can be packed into Cooler bag to preserve the moon cakes much better.🙏

Come here only if you're willing to pay more than $6 for a piece of bread (after adding in 10% service charge for dining in). The pastry is yummy. Tried the egg tart ($2.80) which is very flaky but it's sweet. Quite limited seatings available with small tables. Probably just good to come here once to try.

La Levain - where your morning starts with the smell of happiness The moment you walk through the doors at La Levain, you're hit with it: the warm aroma of freshly baked pastries mixed with freshly ground coffee. It's the kind of smell that makes you instantly relax. I went for the burnt cheesecake and the egg tarts, and wow - to die for. Light, fluffy pastry with a silky smooth filling that just melts. Honestly made my whole morning. And because I have a serious sweet tooth, I also had to try the Caramel Macchiato. Ended up drinking two. It's rich, caramel-y, and the perfect match for the pastries. Do not miss this spot. La Levain is pure comfort in a cup and a bite.

I first tried the creme brulee egg tart when it was gifted to me and I thought it was really very good! Even my daughter who's not a fan of egg tarts, enjoyed it. As such I ordered 2 boxes to share with family. However I was sorely disappointed when I opened the box as there were several pieces that were burnt, literally black burnt edges on many pieces. I would have expected better quality control for a place that prides itself on having "The Best Egg Tarts". This is just disappointing.

La Levain never disappoints. I ordered egg tarts and assorted bakes to be delivered for sharing and it was an absolute hit. Every pastry was beautifully made—crispy on the outside, incredibly flaky, and rich and buttery without being overly heavy. The croissants had that perfect shattering crunch when you bite into them, while the egg tarts were wonderfully creamy with a caramelised top and crisp, laminated layers. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into every bake. The packaging is also gorgeous, making it perfect for gifting or bringing along to gatherings. Needless to say, the box was emptied in no time. Highly recommended if you’re looking for pastries that are both indulgent and consistently excellent.

I had an egg tart from "La Levain" in Singapore. The moment I took a bite, I was amazed by the perfect balance between the crispy pastry and the incredibly smooth custard. The sweetness was refined and not cloying, making it a delicious and enjoyable taste from start to finish. The shop was clean, and the staff were all smiling and kind, making for a very pleasant experience. Their bread and baked goods also looked appealing, making it a place I'd definitely want to visit again. As a hairdresser, I value attention to detail, and I could feel the careful craftsmanship in the selection of ingredients and the baking process in this egg tart. Its simplicity leaves no room for error. It was one of the most memorable egg tarts I've ever had. I highly recommend this shop to any egg tart lover.

These egg tarts are super delicious; they're basically sold out by noon. I came at 1 pm and only these were left.
