Birds of Paradise Gelato Boutique - Jewel

Had a great experience at Birds of Paradise in Jewel Changi Airport! We ordered the Dark Chocolate Hazelnut and Dark Chocolate Sorbet, and both were absolutely delicious. The Dark Chocolate Hazelnut was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with a nutty flavor, while the Dark Chocolate Sorbet was intensely chocolatey yet surprisingly refreshing. The quality of the ingredients really shines through in every bite. The queue was quite long when we arrived, but surprisingly it moved very quickly, making the wait much shorter than expected. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere made it a lovely place to enjoy a sweet treat while exploring Jewel. Definitely worth a visit for ice cream lovers!

Birds of Paradise Gelato Boutique is one of those places you’ll almost always find with a long queue, especially at its outlet in Jewel Changi Airport. It’s not just tourists—plenty of locals are willing to line up as well, which says a lot about its popularity. Part of the appeal is the experience itself. You can actually watch the waffle cones being made fresh on-site, and the aroma alone is enough to draw you in. The cones come out crisp and fragrant, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the gelato. What really sets this place apart, though, is its unique flavour profile. Instead of the usual classics, they offer more botanical-inspired creations like White Chrysanthemum and Strawberry Basil. These flavours are subtle, aromatic, and quite different from typical gelato shops, making it a more interesting and refined tasting experience.

This is easily one of the best gelato spots in Singapore. I had a wonderful experience thanks to Cherie and Vanessa. They were both patient while I was deciding between the flavours. The Pistachio and Midnight Gianduja are absolute must tries. Tried their new flavour - coco bliss sundae it was very refreshing. Even if there's a queue, the team handles it efficiently, and the quality of the gelato (especially in their signature thyme cones) makes it well worth the wait.

Extremely mid gelato, I dont get why people are so crazy about it? I tried the lychee raspberry and the gianduja, both gelatos were a bit watery, and not that thick or creamy. And the taste of both was ordinary like an ice cream you would find at the supermarket. Nothing really stood out! I was so hyped for this place but it was such a complete let down. Also they do not allow any tasting before chosing your flavours so beware. Would give this place a skip and instead try Gelato Messina in Singapore to understand what thick,creamy and flavourful gelato is all about.

Review of Birds of Paradise @ Jewel Changi Airport We first enjoyed Birds of Paradise ice cream a few years ago, and every now and then, we still find ourselves coming back for a sweet treat. During our visit to Jewel today, I couldn’t resist stopping by for their five-star ice cream — especially with the pleasant surprise of no long queue, unlike the usual 50-minute wait! We chose their handmade cones, which were unbelievably good: crisp on the outside with a rich, buttery aroma. They paired perfectly with my favourite flavours — White Chrysanthemum with Cacao Nibs and Lychee Raspberry. Both were refreshing, delicate, and beautifully balanced. Highly recommended flavours: 1. White Chrysanthemum with Cacao Nibs 2. Lychee Raspberry 3. Strawberry Basil Overall, the experience was simply awesome — a perfect combination of thoughtfully crafted flavours, excellent handmade cones, and a little indulgence that never disappoints.

i’ve always loved BOP for their unique ice cream flavours and their really special cones. around 3 months back, i bought a lychee raspberry on a cone with my friend, unfortunately just a few minutes and bites in, i dropped it.. i went back to purchase another cone and explained to the staff im buying the exact same thing because i had dropped my cone. i didn’t expect to receive anything at all, not even a (secretly) bigger scoop. but the staff that is shown in the background of the photo, blessed me another lychee raspberry cone on the house. i was really super thankful after the embarrassing and heartbreaking incident :”( and she really made my whole day!! big shoutout to that staff, didn’t manage to get her name. but i’ll for sure continue to be a regular customer of BOP :) customer service is really 🆙🆙 at this outlet

Decided to queue for a cone of gelato as the queue was short. I had the seasonal coconut sorbet and Strawberry and basil. The sorbet had bit sizes of coconut and it was not too sweet, to my liking. The basil added a new dimension to the strawberry, refreshing taste. Totally enjoyed the two scoops with the fragrant and crispy cone

Amazing Gelateria around Singapore with unique flavours. Really recommend the chrysanthemum flavour - the tea is strong!! Also big shoutout to Sarah and Gianna at the Jewel location for their excellent service - they really took their time to explain the different flavours and gave excellent recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!
