So Pho (Waterway Point)

I had a disappointing experience with the service at this restaurant. I was served hot drinking water that appeared to be extremely hot, almost boiling. Although I was aware it was hot and only took a very small sip, it was still hot enough to burn my tongue immediately. I asked the waiter for ice right away, and while he did bring it to me, there was little apology or concern shown. I understand that hot water is expected to be hot, but serving it at such an excessive temperature can be unsafe for customers.

Table of 5 Everyone got their food except for one member of the party who ordered bahn mi with beef item took 30 mins to arrive even after asking staff three times, to which staff responded with dismissal and no apologies. the manager even responded to us with a condescending tone to say that "baguette takes longer" insisting we wait even at dinner service i do not think that a bahn mi takes 30 minutes to make - my entire table had finished eating. we wanted to cancel the item and remove it from the bill but the staff intentionally avoided and dismissed the question and only rushed out the order as we were walking out to pay i noted to one staff that maybe it should be indicated in the menu that "baguette takes longer" and she actually walked away at my comment absolutely horrendous service - first and last time eating at your brand. 0 recovery 0 apologies.

my mom is a frequent customer at So Pho and i can definitely see why! the food is always fresh, warm, and consistently good every single time. the pho broth is so comforting and flavorful, and the ingredients always taste fresh and well-prepared. service & staffs are pleasant too. one of those places you can keep coming back to and never get tired of! 🤩🍜

I am not an expert at Vietnamese cuisine and because i don't consume beef, i have not had Pho. I prefer their addictive sides and appetizers over their mains. The imperial spring roll and sugarcane prawns are my go to order but their chicken meatball and battered squid is quite tasty as well. Their seafood fried rice is quite tasty and the Vietnamese curry chicken gravy was pretty decent as well, but i think the chicken used was the frozen variety and had some fridge taste to it. Choice of dishes are rather limited, maybe the menu could be expanded with a bit more selection.

My regular go-to place at Sopho Waterway Point. The food is always good, and I especially like their cold rolls served with 2 different types of sauce. The portions are reasonable too.

Food was great but the whole wonderful experience was destroyed by cashier whom thinks the world owes him. I was just sitting near cashier and he was monotonous, dismissive, unfriendly. Probably just a bad day but will definitely not go in if he is the door god there. 😄 five stars for the nice waitresses who are polite.
