Kinta Hainanese Chop & Rice

My wife and I had the Unagi Omurice and Sirloin Omurice. I personally find it is good value for money. Told to cook it about medium rare, didn't get it perfect but was still acceptable as it wasn't dry and hard. Generous with the black pepper sauce. So make sure to ask for less sauce if you don't like too much of it. My wife enjoyed her Unagi. No complaints 😊 I would definitely come again.😋 Ps. It is in the small food court.

I have been coming to this food centre for dinner for quite some time, but only recently decided to give this stall a try. During my first visit, I ordered the Signature Grilled Pork Chop. The food was ready in less than 10 minutes, and for the price paid, the portion was fairly reasonable. The sunny-side-up egg arrived with a broken yolk, which was only an aesthetic issue and did not affect the taste. The pork chop itself was a little tough to chew, although the accompanying sauce complemented the meat well. A few weeks later, I returned to sample another item on the menu and ordered the Signature Soy Sauce Grilled Pork Chop. Once again, the waiting time was relatively short. This time, the sunny-side-up egg was cooked perfectly, and the pork chop was noticeably more tender than on my previous visit. Unfortunately, the soy sauce was excessively salty, so much so that it remained overpowering even when eaten together with the rice. During my second visit, I also topped up an additional dollar for a bowl of mushroom soup. In hindsight, it was probably not the best decision, as the soup was rather diluted and lacked the rich, creamy flavour I had expected. Having visited twice, I found the experience to be somewhat inconsistent. Each visit had its strengths and weaknesses, making it difficult to form a strong impression either way. As such, I felt that a mediocre rating best reflects my overall experience.

Wanted to try this after seeing the good reviews and since we were nearby the area. I like the grilled pork chop omurice with tomato sauce. The sauce has a very balanced taste - not too sour or sweet. I finished everything ☺️. The black pepper sauce was awesome too.

Good! Not overly oily or heavy, but still a hearty and homely meal.

The Signature Grilled Pork Chop with Sunny Egg and Rice was amazing. The cashier was also very friendly. Will come back to try the other options on the menu

12Jan26 - at 9pm was looking for food in the area which could utilise our CDC vouchers. This was 1 of 2 stalls we found opened at Balestier Market at that time. Ordered crispy chicken cutlet omelette rice $8.20. It was plated nicely and tasted pretty good.

Food was exactly as per menu picture and tasted really good. well cooked and nicely presented
