Rongtai Noodle Shop is a Michelin Guide regular and a favorite among gourmets. Its high-ceilinged, spacious interior ensures a comfortable seating experience even with many people. After selecting your order from the table menu, you can quickly order your food, as shown in the photo. The dishes are served in sequence. Each condiment is served in small portions at the table, allowing you to adjust the seasoning to your liking. The dried fish skin is delicious dipped in the broth. When pouring your own juice, drink the last sip directly, otherwise you won't be able to suck up the fruit with the straw. Every dish at Rongtai is delicious; I highly recommend it! 👍

Rung Rueang Pork Noodles is one of those places that I make sure to visit whenever I'm in Bangkok. Conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Phrom Phong BTS Station, it's easy to reach and well worth the trip. The restaurant has earned Michelin Guide recognition every year since 2018, and after trying it, it's easy to understand why. The menu is straightforward, with only two serving sizes available — small and medium. Despite the modest portions, the prices are very reasonable, making it easy to order an extra bowl if you're feeling hungry. The noodles are delicious, with a rich and flavorful broth complemented by well-prepared pork and meatballs. Everything comes together nicely for a satisfying and comforting meal. While the restaurant itself is simple and no-frills, the quality of the food is what keeps people coming back. If you're looking for authentic pork noodles in Bangkok, Rung Rueang Pork Noodles is definitely worth a visit. It's a reliable favorite and remains one of my go-to dining spots every time I'm in the city.

I came here based on the reviews on the map, and saw there were a lot of reviews. I was disappointed with the Sukhumvit area again. The taste was mediocre, too salty for my liking. It's similar to the street food stalls, some of which are even better. The Tom Yum wasn't spicy enough, but the minced pork was good. It felt fresh and not too fatty. Maybe they cater to foreigners. They only accept cash, and the price is a bit high compared to the taste and quantity. I came during lunchtime and there was a very long queue. You might be doubly disappointed, haha.

I did not expect my meal to SLAP the way it did. I ended up in Rung Rueng by chance, because it was close to my hotel and just randomly went it, because of the reviews. But holy shit, this is the best noodles I've eaten. I had the tom yum dry with fish balls and pork, along with fried fish skin, and washed it down with the thai tea. And OMG, the noodles was a flavour bomb. I did not expect this level of flavour and freshness for something that looks so simple and unassuming. I will be dreaming of this noodles for a long time. Recommend it 10/10. And it was super duper cheap, perhaps the cheapest meal I had in Bangkok, plus did not have to wait!

I visited this place after being half-threatened by a friend who insisted I absolutely had to go to Lung Luang when visiting Bangkok... The conclusion is that it lived up to the recommendation. I arrived around 8:30 PM and sat at the last available seat near the entrance. After that, there was a continuous wait. You first choose whether you want soup or mixed noodles, select your noodles and toppings, and then choose the size before eating. We ordered a bowl of noodle soup, one mixed noodle dish, and several Tom Yum noodles. For the noodle types, we tried a mix of egg noodles and the first type, but the first type was the best. The noodle soup had a rich meat broth flavor; there was absolutely no gamey smell, and the umami was excellent. The Tom Yum noodles were decent, but they were slightly spicier than Shin Ramyun, so those who can't handle spicy food should be careful. I had absolutely no expectations for the mixed noodles because they looked like they had nothing in them, but they were surprisingly good. It felt like trying sesame oil buckwheat noodles for the first time. They stay open until evening, so I felt like I could have eaten more if I had a beer with it, but it was a shame that they close early (although I did have a beer in the morning).

The Thai chili is very spicy, and the sourness is different from the usual flavors. The dry noodles are delicious, and you can add your own seasonings; the spicy and sour rice noodles are just average. The longan tea is sweet and refreshing, and it's excellent for relieving the spiciness. 🏠Environment Index: ⭐⭐⭐ A small street-side shop with a simple environment. 💁Service Index: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ Even with a large number of customers, the service is still warm and attentive. 💰Average Cost per Person: 140 Thai Baht A meal for one person, including two main dishes and a drink, is reasonably priced and offers excellent value for money.

I had the mixed noodle soup (ba mee). It's a popular restaurant and it was crowded. It was almost full at 11 AM. The noodles were delicious, with plenty of pork offal as a topping. The location is on the right side when heading south on Soi 26. It's the left of two Runruang restaurants side-by-side. The one on the right is a sister restaurant and a separate establishment. I visited again in July 2024 after a long time. The restaurant had moved to the opposite side of the road. There was also a Runruang restaurant operating at the old location, but it's unclear whether it was this same Runruang or if the sister restaurant expanded to the side. I visited again in August 2024. This was the same restaurant operating at the previous location. It seems they currently operate in two locations on either side of Soi 26. I visited again in May 2026. The old restaurant was closed, and only the new restaurant was operating.
