We waited more than 1 hour for our food. We approached the ground staff/server to check on our order, but despite seeing other customers who arrived much later than us — including a group of 23 pax — being served first, we were still left waiting another 30 minutes without any food served. Even after the server approached the kitchen to follow up on our order, our food was still not prioritized, and the kitchen continued serving customers who came later than us. This was extremely disappointing and frustrating. What made the experience worse was that the captain asked why we did not approach him directly, instead of proactively checking on the situation and assisting us. Overall, the service experience was very poor and unacceptable.

Very disappointing and unprofessional experience. I ordered a NY Strip medium rare, but it came out medium well, almost well done. When I brought this up, the manager took it to the kitchen and returned saying the chef insisted it was medium rare and refused to change it. Arguing with a customer over something as basic as steak doneness instead of addressing the issue properly is unacceptable. Only after I said I would share my experience in a review did the manager suddenly return and say they would make a new one. This makes it obvious the restaurant cares more about its public image than the actual customer experience. Service recovery should be immediate and sincere, not forced. The initial refusal, defensiveness, and inconsistency left a very negative impression. Definitely not the level of professionalism expected from a proper steakhouse.

In terms of food and service, its extremely disappointing. Was having issues with the app and went to cashier to order. Staff was unfriendly. I ordered a side and other dishes. During the review of my order i noticed that my side appeared as zero cost. When i asked, the staff said it came as a side for one of my mains. So i cancelled the side i ordered, otherwise i wld have had 2! (Usually, staff will explain and inform if sides appear twice) Service was generally bad. Asked for smaller plates and they said dont have, gave me the large oval ones. After awhile, someone came with small saucer plates. Food took a long time and was really not of quality. - Mushroom soup - didnt taste well - Seafood marinara pasta - squid was too chewy - Hickory Chicken chop - chicken generally bad as it is just chicken chop with bbq sauce thats just thrown on the chicken and mac n cheese had a weird powdery aftertaste - Pork ribs - hard and the sauce seemed like from off the shelf - Pork chestnut - this was the only decent one. - Teh tarik ice - meh Only took pic of the pasta. Didnt bother with the rest.

Food is quite good, but price has risen by a bit. Single chicken is now $13.90 (comes with choice of 2 sides), double up chicken is $19.90. We were here on a Tuesday lunch and we're informed that the wait would be 20 min for food. Indeed, we waited for quite a while, and some of our sides were served only later separately. It wasn't particularly crowded either. Ambience is consistent with other outlets.

4/5 Stars! Astons Specialities (Punggol Coast Mall): Reliable Western Fare, New York Strip is the Winner! Astons Specialities at Punggol Coast Mall offers a reliable Western dining experience, and our recent visit was no exception. We ordered both the L5 New York Strip and the L3 Prime Ribeye (cooked medium-rare) along with sides like corn niblets, mac n cheese, french fries, and potato salad, plus a cream of mushroom soup. While both steaks were decent, we both agreed that the New York Strip was the standout – it had a better texture and flavor profile. The sides were standard Astons fare, and the soup was comforting. The total bill came to $51.70, including GST. Overall, Astons provides good value for money, making it a solid choice for a satisfying meal. If you're choosing between the steaks, we recommend the New York Strip! The service was self-ordered by scanning the QR code, and we paid when we placed our orders. The ambiance is good as this place is still considered new. Ratings: • Food: 4/5 Stars (New York Strip was the star, good value) • Service: 4/5 Stars (Efficient self-ordering) • Atmosphere: 4/5 Stars (New and well-maintained) • Value: 4/5 Stars (Good value for money)

Aston is one of the more popular western food outlets in sg. This place has nice window view although it can get crowded and have a long waiting time. The food is generally nice without breaking the bank. I would recommend some sides over others. I recommend the coleslaw , the potato salad and mash potatoes. The fries are average but not bad. The Mac and cheese is not to my liking. The grilled chicken is juicy and delicious. For the steak it’s not bad for the price. The soup is 7/10 not bad . Come on off peak hours if you don’t want to queue as you can easily tell why it’s so popular! Recommended !!

I had dinner at Astons Punggol Coast on 4 October and it was a very disappointing and worrying experience. I ordered the Crispy Chicken, but the first plate served was undercooked. After informing the waitress, they replaced it with a second plate, which again was still undercooked. What made matters worse is that my daughter had already eaten part of the chicken before we noticed it was undercooked. The risk of food poisoning is a very serious issue that the restaurant should take responsibility for. Instead, when we raised the concern again, the staff only asked if we wanted a third replacement. We had already lost our appetite and said no, but they just walked away without any apology or concern for our health. Looking at other reviews, it’s clear we are not the only customers who have faced this same problem. This shows a repeated lack of quality control and care for food safety. The way the situation was handled — no accountability, no apology, and no reassurance about food hygiene — was unprofessional and extremely disappointing. Serving uncooked food is not a small mistake; it directly endangers customers’ health. Astons Punggol Coast should take this feedback seriously and address both their kitchen standards and staff training, as basic courtesy and food safety cannot be ignored. Definitely will not return again.

Food was as expected of any Astons restaurant, all well trained to char the meat instead of subpar well done cooked meat. Giving them smoky flavours. Making an effort to write a review because we were very well served by service crew Zhi Hong. I took an effort to see his name tag so that I could give him a commendation as even my mother find him very warm and attentive to guests' needs. He make an extra effort to make sure we got our takeaway orders as there was some system error with Qlub Apple payments hanging so he kept checking with the cashier, manager and even the kitchen that the order was in.
