Ann Guay Tiew Kua Gai

A famous Kuay Tiew Kua Gai (stir-fried noodles with chicken) restaurant that's super popular among foreigners, probably because it has received Michelin recognition for several consecutive years. The restaurant is air-conditioned, clean, and very comfortable to sit in. They offer 3 styles of noodles: fried (Kua), fried with a runny egg (Ob), and soup. • Fried noodles with pork and Thai-style squid. The portion was generous and had a really fragrant wok aroma. The noodles weren't super crispy, but also not too oily. The squid was fresh and huge, though the pork could have been more tender. • Fried pork wontons. Crispy and freshly fried. The filling wasn't very big, but they tasted great with the sweet chili sauce. • If you order the fried noodles, they also serve pickled lime soup on the side to cut through the richness. Sooooo good. No parking available!!! Highly recommend taking a taxi or Grab. The crispy squid was very fresh and large, but the pork wasn't very tender. • Fried pork dumplings: Crispy, freshly fried. The pork filling wasn't very plentiful. Delicious with the sweet chili sauce. • Anyone ordering the stir-fried noodles gets a pickled lime soup to cut through the richness. It's delicious! There is no parking! We recommend taking a taxi or calling a ride.

April 24th: Ordered stir-fried chicken and a pineapple smoothie. Ate alone at the restaurant after finishing work at the temple. Sat at the bar, which was quite cluttered, but got a seat quickly. Ordered 3 takeout packages of baked chicken (knowing it's not as good as fresh, but didn't want to cook, just wanted the easy way), but received all stir-fried chicken instead. In short, I ended up eating the same dishes I ate the night before! Annoying!! Total bill was 340 baht. The service in the restaurant was okay, but the lack of attention to detail with the order was unacceptable.

It was simple yet incredibly well-made. The fragrant stir-fried noodles combined with the creaminess of the egg made for a more satisfying taste than it looked. Tried their kuay tiew with pork bacon and Egg. At first, i think it will be similar with just kwetiau from indonesia and malaysia, but it is different. I dont really know what is it, i think the ingredients is similar with kwetiau, but then it is deep fried, so it gives a crunchy texture on the kuay tiew. The bacon and egg is the good topping for this. Overall, nice place to eat, and the service quite fast even the olace is quite crowded. 9,5/10

The texture wasn't what I expected, but the noodles were quite delicious! It was a simple yet tasty meal. Luckily, there weren't many people there when I visited, and the owner was very friendly, letting us in without waiting and having a staff member lead us directly to our table. The drinks were also refreshing and tasty. We ordered an extra side dish, but it was a little spicy, so those who don't eat spicy food should be careful.

Trying to see the hype and it's okayy. They served pretty fast. If you're fine with waiting in line to eat something simple and small portion then it's a place for you. It's pretty small and crowded. Often shared table with others, they almost never let any chairs empty. But it's also an okay place to stop by and fill up a bit while waiting for the Chinatown to fully started. If you like spicy food, recommended to add the chili powder. It elevates more and taste better with chili.

I just went to try this Michelin rated stir fried flat noodles with chicken, ham and runny egg. I also ordered the fried egg wanton. Overall, I found the foods quite tasty which is to my liking. The price is reasonable. I will definitely return to try the stir fried flat noodles with other ingredients and other side dishes when I visit Bangkok again.
