This is my 2nd time coming to The Skewer Bar. On my first visit, I had some time to kill and was in the area. I chanced upon the skewer bar and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food. I ordered mostly skewers and they were all done and seasoned very well. Their Guinness is also fresh and creamy. Today I happened to be in the area and decided to hop in for some food and drinks at 3:30pm not knowing that they only open at 5pm. Although there were staff preparing to open the bar, no one mentioned that they were actually closed or turned me away. They displayed the utmost hospitality by serving me a drink and even preparing some wagyu swekers (which were delicious) when I enquired about what time the kitchen would open, even though they didn't have to. The whole time I was there, not one person mentioned that they were actually not open yet and going the extra mile by serving me. I am so impressed with the service. I only realised the extent of their hospitality while writing this review and seeing their opening hours on google. I highly recommend this bar and I will surely be back to try the rest of the menu.

The chawamushi is nice. Fusion between chinese and jap. Overall the food is generally nice, worth coming back to chill over a cold beer and snacks.

I visited this bar for drinks after dining at No Signboard, as it is located right nearby. I returned here after a long time since my last visit in 2018. While the vibe and interior are still the same as I remembered, the overall experience was a bit disappointing. My favourite salad had been removed from the menu, and the draft beer was also a letdown. It wasn’t a huge disappointment (so much), but compared to my good memories from years ago, it didn't quite meet my expectations.

1st time to Skewer Bar. Simply fell in love with the place n vibe. A Japanese styled Izakaya bar. The owner n chef recommended some unique dishes like bacon tempura and ngoh hiang maki. The bacon tempura was crispy but not oily. You wouldn't even notice it's bacon. Goes so well with beer. The ngoh hiang maki rolled with prawn s also light n flavorful. A playful change from e usual mski roll. Love it! Monday n Friday offer 1 set for 1 set free oysters. We had e Canadian oysters. Yuzu n Ponzu tastes. The Bar has a good list for drinks. I like it that they serve e beer ice cold in a iced glass. Thumbs up. This s how beer should be. Drinks r reasonably priced. So are the food menu. U can choose to sit indoor or outdoor. Outdoor is great especially after November rain with e cool weather. This place s gem. Near to Aljunied mrt. No drink n drive 😅 Sure to come again.

Super cosy place to hang out with friends over sake. Friendly service team serves delicious skewers and snacks but the chawanmushi was really good. Good vibes. Shiok.

It is a very cozy place to chill out with friends. Foods are really tasty and unique! Strongly recommended chawanmushi as owners added quail eggs, century egg and salted eggs. Basically i love all their foods on the menu! Potatoes salad, ngoh hiang maki, otah egg roll... etc... Service are really good as well... Sake, highball and beer are fantastic too! Reasonable price!
