Our next stop was the Sacred Monkey Forest, one of Ubud’s most popular attractions, and it was an experience unlike any other. The moment we entered, we were surrounded by towering trees, lush greenery, and ancient temple ruins that created a peaceful and almost magical atmosphere. Of course, the main highlight was seeing the monkeys roaming freely throughout the forest. It was fascinating to watch them interact with one another, climb the trees, and play around with visitors. They were entertaining to observe, but it’s important to remember that they are wild animals. We made sure to follow the park’s guidelines by keeping our belongings secure and avoiding any actions that might attract the monkeys. As we explored the pathways, we discovered beautiful stone statues, moss-covered bridges, and centuries-old temples that added to the charm of the place. Every corner seemed picture-perfect, making it a great destination for taking photos while also appreciating Bali’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. Overall, our visit to the Sacred Monkey Forest was both fun and memorable. It offers a unique combination of nature, wildlife, and history, making it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Ubud. Just remember to be respectful of the monkeys, follow the rules, and enjoy the experience. It’s definitely one of the highlights of our Bali trip.

A wonderful visit to the Sacred Monkey Forest at the end of the day. The setting is breathtaking: a truly lush forest teeming with monkeys right in the heart of Ubud. The monkeys are playful, curious, and generally not aggressive. It's simply important to follow the guidelines and keep a safe distance, as some visitors get too close or try to touch them, which can annoy them. The atmosphere is unique, a blend of nature, temples, and wildlife. A must-do experience during a stay in Ubud.

We loved it! Excellent! It's not a zoo...in fact, you can find monkeys outside on the sidewalks or rooftops... The monkeys are well-fed and have plenty of water. They're a bit mischievous and climbed on my head...without being aggressive. Top-notch!

A laid-back and very peaceful place. A great location for a walk with children. The monkeys are friendly and don't care about you. Although the ticket price is a bit overpriced. Don't expect any action here that even remotely resembles the monkey forest in Phuket, where they go on a rampage, pick fights, and threaten to fight.

The heat completely disappears as I stroll through the lush bushes. The monkeys aren't aggressive, and it's a great place for a walk to watch them play amongst themselves.

I'm an online motorcycle taxi driver and the parking attendant asked me for a 10,000 IDR ticket. And I didn't have time to take a photo because I was in line.
