Burnt Cones MD11

Customer service is atrocious. I understand that dealing with people can be draining and sometimes annoying. But when the whole store, on a Saturday 4.30pm, amounts to only 6 customers in total.. I don't feel like that justified the attitude I got from this girl who was in an oversized hoodie with spectacles on. If I could reduce my interaction with her I would have GLADLY done so. But I spent a good 2~3mins scanning through the Gelato section for 1 scoop, which didn't have the Ube option (I should've gotten a screenshot prior so my complaint would've been more valid or yall can check what's up on the cctv la, my transaction ended at 4.41pm🤷‍♀️), so I decided to get up and head to the counter to order. Me: "Hi the menu online doesn't have the Ube flavour." Girl: "Huh? Idk." Me: "Umm the menu doesn't have Ube, I want Ube." Girl: "Okay.. can order here? (No shit Sherlock, I didn't come here to chat?) Me: "Yeah okay.. I'm just informing you?" Girl: "What you want." Me: "I want the Ube." (Well, if you paid attention to the first few times I said Ube you didn't need to ask what flavour I want.) Girl: "Cup or Cone." Me: "Cup 1 scoop." Girl: "$5." (Hand tap on terminal and walks away to scoop gelato) The next part kind of got me a little confused. Girl: "Ube 1 scoop cup" (leaves the cup ontop of the fridge) *I walk over* *she walks back to the POS* ???? Hey now, if you're going to walk back to the POS eventually, at least bring the cup with you and hand it to me? But I suspect she went back to the POS to update the menu la, cos I can tell you it was definitely NOT there when I was looking for it and it is kind of hard to miss it as it is the 2nd option. (as seen by the screenshot) TLDR; She needs training.(1st impressions are very important) My 1st and last visit to Burnt Cones. There's so many Gelato options out there I don't see why I gotta come back here. Ciao. 🥱

Located within NUS, nearest public transportation would be taking the yellow MRT line and alight at Kent Ridge station. Walk towards NUS MD11 and they are located at the entrance. With several outlets around the area, they serve gelato with limited flavors but tastes uniquely good. Their drinks are carefully prepared and served to you. I would recommend to enjoy their gelato with their warm and crispy waffles, you won't be disappointed. Definitely drop by and support them when you're in the area.

Cappuccino and toasts were delicious. Great place for breakfast and coffee break while in NUS Medicine.
