328 Katong Laksa

An accidental discovery ⭐ We decided to have lunch first while waiting for our room to be ready for check-in. We found this spot just 5 minutes away. We didn't know it was a famous Laksa place, already visited by many celebrities including Dua Lipa and Gourdon Ramsay. We were already enjoying our meal when we discovered that dine-in rice meals could only be paid with cash 🥲 Fortunately, there was an ATM nearby. Later, we noticed that the cashier for the rice meals was different from the one for laksa and drinks, who accepted card payments. The laksa was tasty but a bit different from what I’ve tried in the Philippines, so I’m not sure how to feel about it, though it was still good. The Hainanese chicken was also delicious! Just remember to bring cash if you want to order rice and Hainanese chicken.

Seriously overrated and a very disappointing experience at 328 Katong Laksa. Ordered a large laksa expecting the famous 328 taste, but what I got tasted overwhelmingly of coconut milk and nothing like what I remembered. Also ordered the dry flower clam laksa together with otah. The otah was forgotten completely. When I asked the staff about it, it was simply dumped onto my tray. I pointed out that it wasn’t even hot and asked how I was supposed to eat it like that. The staff took it back, threw it into a microwave, and left me standing there waiting for it to reheat. So much for “grilled” otah. For a place carrying such a famous name, I expected much better food quality and, at minimum, decent service. Overrated food + terrible service = no reason for me to return. Definitely my last visit.

I had the chicken version which is typically not as good as the prawn version. But the chicken was very finely shredded so it won't be dry. I had extra cockles, and it was choked full. The broth was rich with dried prawns. I would go back and bring others there for a treat.

We got a large laksa and a chicken laksa. I do love laksa but I eat it very rarely due to the extremely high saturated fat content. I liked the broth. The chilli was ok. The disappointments were (1) the noodles were not really QQ. It was ok, it just wasn’t excellent. (2) we got a taro custard ball. This was just ok. Overall a good but not great meal. Service was good. Responsive. The ambience was … meh. They can do better. At S$15/person including a drink, it was above par and good but not excellent. I think they can do better. For sure with the ambience. But also a bit with the food.

Absolutely delicious and one of the best meals we had in Singapore! The Katong laksa was rich, creamy and full of flavour, with just the right amount of spice. We enjoyed it much more than the food we tried at Lau Pa Sat. The atmosphere was simple and authentic, and the experience felt truly local. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Singapore.

Parking available. Food is delicious. Not friendly or cool. Food taste is a 1.0. I ate while sweating because it was hot.

It's a mild Laksa. The otah tastes like fish cake, but with a slightly softer and chewier texture. Overall, it's a fairly average flavor.

This is a famous laksa restaurant! It was so delicious! ♡ The pho noodles are short and can be eaten with a spoon. The soup is deliciously spicy and exquisite! Even though I was full, I was able to eat it all in no time. It had lots of seafood in it, so I ate it all without getting bored. It was around 2 PM on a Sunday, but it wasn't crowded. It's a cute restaurant with lots of colorful dishes! Definitely check it out when you're exploring Katong! ^_^
